July Classes

Can you believe we're talking July already?!?!?!?  What a fun month ahead to follow the Double Trunk Show we had in June!  Remember, you get a 10% discount on all your regular-priced purchase on the day of class.  So grab a few friends, sign up for several of these amazing classes below and get your FUN on!!! 

MASQUERADE STATIONERY BOX:  Box and cards set using G45 newest paper collections.  Bring your basic kit to class. With Deb on Saturday, 7/1 from 10am-1pm  $15+Paper Pad (8x8)

NORTHWOODS SQUIRREL CARD:  Happy squirrels eat their leftover acorns among the spring flowers.  In class, you can choose to make the squirrels grey, red or brown.  Bring your basic kit to class. With Marsha on Saturday, 7/1 from 10am-1pm  $8 (LIMIT OF 6)

2^nd QUARTER CUSTOMER BIRTHDAY PARTY:  Did you have a birthday during the 2nd quarter of the year?  If you do - this party is for YOU!  We are going to celebrate with you on Sunday July 2^nd from 1-2:30pm!  Sign up before June 30th and leave a deposit of $5.  The day of the party you will get to create 2 cards, enjoy some tasty beverages and Birthday cupcakes, AND receive a $5 gift card to spend in the store that day!  With Cherri on Sunday 7/2 from 1-2:30pm. 

 

G45 NATURE SKETCHBOOK MINI CARD BOX:  Create this complete set using G45 Nature Sketchbook paper collection.  Bring your basic kit to class.  With Deb on Wednesday, 7/5 from 10-Noon.  $10

DISTRESS INK TECHNIQUES:  Learn some basic and not so basic things to do with these amazing inks!  Bring your basic kit to class. With Patsy on Thursday, 7/6 from 10:00am-Noon   $25

PLAY DAY AT ARTSY!!  Looking for a place to really spread out and work on that “UFO” (UnFinished Object)?  Or, wanna acquire some new toys at Artsy and then break into them immediately and be creative?  Do you want to be creative with other people?  Bring a friend and play in the Artsy Classroom!  Work on your own projects or let Patsy and Julia find fun things for you to do!  Plus, if you need something or run out, you’re already in the perfect space to get more!! It’s starting to catch on so plan now to come in on one or all four dates in July.  Bring your basic kit with you as supplies are not included.  Friday 7/7 from 10am-6pm, Friday 7/14 from 10am-6pm, Tuesday 7/18 from 10am-6pm and Tuesday 7/25 from 10am-6pm- FREE!

 

THE CHOCOLATE BOOK: If you love chocolate, you won’t want to miss this one!!  Patsy has created this super fun and unique book that celebrates one of her most favorite things!  The first thing to know though is that you WON’T make the entire book at this class – that will take 12-24 hrs.  However  1)  You WILL get 4 pages to BEGIN your book, each student will get to select one of the chocolate phrases to create with (the more people that sign up, the more phrases you will get!).  2) You WILL learn different techniques to use on any/all pages. 3) You WILL receive several pieces of brown tones cardstock and specialty papers. 4) You WILL get little doodahs to use in your book. 5) You WILL receive 2 pieces of black 6x6 chipboard for the covers + 2 rings.  6) You WILL OBVIOUSLY have chocolate in this class!  Bring your basic kit to class.  With Patsy on Saturday, 7/8 from 10am-Noon.  $10

COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS TIN:  This darling mixed media project is perfect for those who love Christmas, each little muffin space is covered with a magnet circle.  Each circle is embellished with holiday wrappings of patterned papers, stickers, rub on’s, and Christmas Icon’s.  Each little space is waiting to be filled with a tiny treat, gift or note, something fun to do each day as you count down to the big event with loved ones.  Great for children of all ages, as well as offices, and college dorms!  Makes a beautiful display just on its own. You WILL need to bring one 24-count Mini Muffin Tin (available next door to Artsy in a 2 pack) along with your basic kit to class.  With Suzanne on Saturday, 7/8 from 10am-12:30pm.  $30 + tin

HEARTFELT CLASSIC PETUNIA CARDS: This class features one of the newest paper collections from Heartfelt Creations – Classic Petunia!  If you’re a fan of Liquid Pearls or have always been curious, this is the class for you as you’ll be learning some new ways to use them as backgrounds. Yes, we said backgrounds!  If you have a flower-shaping kit please bring that to class along with your basic kit.  With Leslie on Saturday, 7/8 from 12:30pm-3:30pm. 3/$14

TEA BAG CLUB – CHRISTMAS IN JULY POINSETTIA:  Teabag Club will meet this month to get a head start on making our Christmas cards.  The fold of the month will be the Poinsettia fold. This easy fold only takes three tiles to make each Poinsettia.  Come join the Christmas fun!! Bring your basic kit to class.  With Donna on Tuesday, 7/11 from 1-3pm.  $10 

LAYERS OF COLOR CLUB – GOLDFISH CARDS:  Stamp layering set of the month is goldfish. This stamp is just plain fun. We will also so be using the new distress oxide inks and creating a cute shaker card. The stamp set is yours to keep. With Julia on Wednesday, 7/12 from 2-4:30pm OR on Saturday, 7/29 from 1-3:30pm.  $26 – includes stamp set

IRIS FOLD FANCY DRESS CARD:  Remember when we were girls and wanted to be fashion designers and had so much fun designing evening dresses.  Well that is what fancy dress club is about, those fun old days designing. Ribbon, pattern and cut-out are provided.  You may design your gown like the instructor, if you wish.  But you are encouraged to have fun and design your gown your way. Come join the fun!!  Bring your basic kit to class.  With Donna on Thursday, 7/13 from 1-3pm.  $10

DEMO DAY #3!:  The previous two Demo Days have been nothing but exciting, incredible, and absolute FUN! If you haven’t had a chance to enjoy one of them, you’ll want to make this one a MUST!  We’ll have Janet in town from Creative Impressions who will demo some of the beautiful little embellishments and share a few awesome tricks!  Cherri Rob will be in the house to demo several of the paints, sprays, and stencils from Dylusions.  Susan Mostek is a designer with B Line Designs and will share with you how to use the same B Line stamp in multiple ways to create some incredibly different looks.  AND if those three gals aren’t enough for ya, Patsy and Julia will be onsite with some surprise demos using some of the newest products to hit the store!!  Mark your calendars now for Saturday, 7/15 from 10:30am-2:30pm.  FREE!!!!!!

 

PICTURE PERFECT FRAME:  If you're interested in framing people in their best light, then join Doug to learn how to make this origami picture frame card. Please bring a 2" X 2" photograph of a person that has a 1/2" border.  Also, please bring a Martha Stewart score board (or any brand), as well as your basic kit to class.  With Doug on Wednesday, 7/19 from 10:15-11:45am. $6

ISLAND ESCAPE ALBUM:  This fun beachy-themed album features the beautiful paper collection Island Escape from KaiserCraft.  Talk about a great way to transport you to the tropics!  This is a 2-day class. Bring your basic kit to class.  With Denise on Thursday 7/20 from 10am-5pm (Part 1) AND on Friday 7/21 from 10am-3pm (Part 2).  $80

PROJECT CROP!!  Need some “me” time to work on your projects? Plan now and get registered to crop ‘til you drop for this one evening event.  This is open to anyone who wants some fun and focused time to work on their own specific papercrafting project whether it be cards, scrapbooking or mixed media.  It will be like playtime on steroids ‘cuz DINNER is included and you can use many of the items in the Artsy classroom – like the Bigshot, stamps, and other tools. Please bring your basic kit with you.  With Julia on Friday, 7/21 from 5-Midnight.  $15

 

PAPER BAG ALBUM: In this class, you will learn how to create this eye-catching album using this simple paper bag assembly design and a variety of new paper from 7 Gypsies. The best part of this class is that it allows plenty of time for you to embellish it how you want to. It’s a great class to also practice “making it your own”! Bring your basic kit to class.  With Pat on Saturday, 7/22 from 10am-4pm.  $25

GELLI PLATE CREATE & MAKE: We will be using our gelli press to create prints in the first half of the class. In the second half the class we will use those prints to create some cards. You just need to bring your gelli plate and braver with your basic kit. If you don’t have one yet, you can purchase one at the store.  With Julia on Saturday, 7/22 from  1-4pm.  $25

 

HEARTFELT CREATIONS MITI – CLASSIC WEDDING:  Come in and see the newest introduction from Heartfelt Creations – Classic Wedding!  Just released this month!  Try the stamps and dies then make a card to take with you.  With Leslie on Sunday, 7/23 from 1-3pm.  FREE!

 

DISTRESS OXIDE TECHNIQUES:  These new inks are so fabulous and unlike any other inks you have ever used. You will be amazed at what you can do with these. So far there are 5 techniques pictured but Julia has a lot more to teach you.  Bring your basic kit to class.  With Julia on Wednesday, 7/26 from 2-4pm.   $18

ALCOHOL INK TECHNIQUES:  Do you want some of these but have never used them?  Or maybe don't use them enough?  Attend this class and learn some amazing effects that you can create! Bring your basic kit to class.  With Patsy on Thursday, 7/27 from 10am-Noon.   $25

“KISS THE COOK” RECIPE BOOK & BOX:  This is a great magazine style holder and box to hold the BoBunny binder album all decorated with BoBunny’s Kiss the Cook paper.  What better way to organize those special recipes!  Bring your basic kit to class.  With Julia on Saturday, 7/28 from 10am-4pm.  $65

FAIRY TALE GARDEN BOOK:   Enjoy this delightful journey through a fairy tale garden … magical, mystical fairy dust sprinkled everywhere!  In this altered journal project, students will start with paper engineering, then play with color with Tonic Mousse, add in 49 & Market Street Fairy Tale Paper, fairy cut-aparts, darling pixie quotes …. And embellish, embellish, embellish. When the class is paid for, students will receive the hand-made 50 page journal and a cut-apart page.  Pre-class homework INCLUDES fussy cut the entire 12x12 sheet, and glue some of the book pages together with UHU glue stick (glue 2, skip 2, repeat throughout book).  There is a limit of 14 students and this class is NOT recommended for beginners or students that enjoy a slower pace. This is a 2-Part class and it must be paid in full by 7/19.  Please check at the store when you sign up for "bring to class" requirements.  With Cherri on Saturday 7/29 from 10am-4pm AND on Sunday 7/31 from Noon-3pm.  $65

G45 MIDNIGHT MASQUERADE 3D:  What a beautiful paper collection to use in this unique way.  Julia is famous for this class and has quite a following! It’s a stunning technique that you’ll enjoy learning and utilizing for a long time.  Bring your basic kit to class.  With Julia on Saturday, 7/29 from 10am-Noon.  $12 (or $8 for repeaters).

CLASS POLICIES

***Classes start promptly at the time listed.  Please have your lovely buns in the seat and be ready to go!    Showing up late is very disruptive to the class that is already in progress.  Plan ahead for traffic or other things that might slow you down! 

If you are more than 10 minutes late, you may be asked to get into another class.  If you are more than 15 minutes late, you will forfeit your class fee. 

Classes must be paid for at the time of registration.  You are not considered registered unless a class is paid for which could affect your seat in those classes with student limits.  You may pay with cash, check or use a credit card with a $2 handling fee.  You may register over the phone and mail in a check or give us a credit card number. 

We also assume you're taking a class to enjoy a break for a few hours and learn some cool stuff without interruptions.  That said, we will now begin each class by asking you to turn off your cell phones or silence them during class.  This will enhance everyone's learnin' and enjoyment of the class at hand.
