Good morning everyone!  Such a cool damp morning.  Glad to get the rain, except for those farmers trying to dry out their corn crops!  The weather is always a problem for some area.

HERE ARE OUR UPCOMING CLASSES FOR THE FIRST COUPLE OF WEEKS IN OCT, AND NEWS ABOUT 2 EVENTS WE'RE HAVING DURING THE MONTH (all class prices include papers and embellishments shown, but you must bring your basic tool kit):

Mon, 10/1, ALCOHOL INK TECHNIQUES with Patsy, from 6-8.  Learn 7 different techniques using Tim Holtz's Alcohol ink bottles and go home with your own samples, instructions and your very own bottle of ink.  So much fun!  Wear your old clothes and one of our aprons.  $32.

TECHNIQUE TUESDAY, 10/2.  Come in anytime and learn this week's new technique for just $2, or it's FREE with a $5 or more purchase!  Take home your own sample and instructions.  Sign up to win the sample of the day!

Wed, 10/3, Joan will teach MOUNTAIN CHRISTMAS CARDS from 10:30-12:30, for $12.  You'll get to use new Christmas Memory Box dies, using the Big Shot, in 2 different cards.  Aren't these wonderful?

Thurs, 10/4, from 6-8, Patsy will teach another DISTRESS INK TECHNIQUES class using Tim Holtz's very versatile and amazing Distress Ink pads, in 36 different colors.  You will learn 7 different techniques to create different looks for your projects, take home your own samples and your own ink pad! Just $32.

WORLD CARD MAKING DAY:
Fri, 10/5 and Sat 10/6, from 10-4pm both days, we will celebrate WORLD CARD MAKING DAY SHOP HOP, in conjunction with Scrapin Place (Loveland), Scrap-2-It and Capture (both in Scrap-2-It building in Ft Collins).  Each store will have a $1 Make N Take card to create.  Create a card at each of the 4 stores, sign their register and you will have a chance to win gift certificates totalling $60!  You must create a card at all 4 stores to be entered to win.  Bring your basic tool kit with you!    So Much Fun!  Here are our respective cards, but you'll have to go to one of our stores to view them up close.

Sunday, yes Sunday, 10/7 Patsy will teach her HALLOWEEN TAG BANNER class from 1-4, $18 for everything!  This banner can be used year after year, hang it in a doorway, on the front door, across a mantle, across a window, give it to your grandkids for their celebrations year after year, give it to a nursing home, etc. You will embellish it as you like.  Lots of fun!

TECHNIQUE TUESDAY, 10/9

Wed, 10/10, from 6-8,  STICKY NOTES HOLDER, Patti will show us how to create a fast and easy small gift for family, friends, teachers, neighbors, thankyous, thinking of you, etc.  Get ready for the holidays, take a small gift wherever you go that will be much appreciated!  Make as many as you want in the 2 hr class, just $5 ea.  Here are samples of what can be done:

Thurs, 10/11, from 6-8, Julia will be teaching HALLOWEEN CARDS using the new Graphic 45 papers.  For $12 get a head start on Halloween with these 3 cute cards:

Fri, 10/12, from 6-8, Dianna will teach AUTUMN ALBUM, which is a clear acrylic and chipboard album spelling 'autumn'.  Everything in this album and more for you to embellish as you want, $22.
Only 4 albums, which means only 4 students, sign up soon!  Isn't it pretty, and it will be a wonderful gift for someone special.  Students must bring Zip-dry glue, exacto knife and cutting mat, along with basic tool kit.  We sell everything that is needed, here at ARTSY, of course.

Sat, 10/13, we have 2 great classes: 
From 10:15-12:15, Judi will teach another FAUX WATERCOLOR class using markers to easily create the 'watercolor' look.  Make these 2 and learn a great technique for $12:

And that same afternoon from 1-4:30, create this HALLOWEEN 3D  frameable piece of art with Julia, of course.  Must bring an exacto knife and cutting mat, and paper burnishing tool kit,  along with your basic tool kit.  Makes a wonderful decoration or gift.  $10.

Upcoming event:  Colorado Fall Paper Fest at the Ranch, Fri and Sat, 10/19 & 10/20, from 10-5.  ARTSY will have a Make N Take table there, with a sale coupon and---discount specials, and 2 classes here on Sat., at our store.
