GOOD MORNING EVERYONE,
I just thought I would get this blogged before Christmas.  Have a blessed Christmas time! Thanks for all your handmade cards and well wishes.  We thoroughly enjoyed each one!
Can't believe we are ready to start another New Year!---2013, and it's even harder to say

ARTSY WILL BE CLOSING EARLY ON CHRISTMAS EVE (3PM) AND NEW YEAR'S EVE (4PM) AND CLOSED ON CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR'S DAY.  Celebrate safely

HERE ARE OUR CLASS PHOTOS FOR THE FIRST COUPLE OF WEEKS IN 2013:

We start with 1/2/2013, Wed from 6-8, Patsy is offering another ALCOHOL INK TECHNIQUES class.  You will learn 7 different techniques using Ranger Alcohol Ink bottles, take home your samples and instructions and a bottle of ink!  Very fun--wear your old clothes and one of our aprons, just $32

 

1/3, Thurs, from 2-4 Doug will teach his ORIGAMI VALENTINE, and you will make these 2 fun cards, just $5:

1/4, Friday, from 6-8pm, Patsy will hole another DISTRESS INK TECHNIQUES class.  You will learn 7 different techniques using Tim Holtz's unique distress ink pads and his handles.  This is also a great fun class.  You'll take home your own samples, instructions and your very own ink pad, just $32.

1/5, Sat ARTSY will offer 2 classes and the first is:
PLACE IN TIME CARDS, FROM 10:30-12:30, Julia will help us create these 3 beautiful cards using Graphic 45 paper, just $10:

And that same afternoon, Patsy will teach I LOVE SNOWMEN BANNER, from 2-4pm.  It's sooo cute and great for home, school room, or your office...$18 for a huge banner:

 

 

1/6--SUNDAY!, from 1-4  Patsy will teach BEYOND ALCOHOL INKS.  If you've taken the basic alcohol inks class, you are ready for even more techniques.  Lots of fun, dress for a mess, $10

 

 

1/7 Mon, from 2-4, Donna will return to teach TEA BAG FOLDING.  These tiny cards are just perfect for special gift cards.  Learn this special technique (which has nothing to do with tea bags) and make these 4 small cards for just $9!

 

And that same evening, from 6-8, Judi will show us how to make this Pop-Up card, make 2 for $10 and wow all your friends on lots of different cards:

TECHNIQUE TUESDAY, come in anytime until 5:30 to make our technique of the week.  It's different every week, and for just $2 (FREE with a $5 or more purchase) you get to create and take home the instructions.  Always soooo much fun.

 

1/9, Wed, we have IRIS FOLDED DRESS class, with Donna scheduled from 2-4.  I will have to post the photo next week, as I haven't received it as yet.  But, it's beautiful.

 

1/10, Thurs, from 2-4,  Dianna will teach SNOWMAN CARDS.  Make 2 of these cute cards for $6!

1/12, Sat, another big day for Artsy--2 classes starting with:
G45 JAN/FEB LAYOUTS with Julia. From 10:30-1:00--You will make 2- 2-page layouts (12x12 album pages) to get you started on your 2013 calendar.  She will have a class  every 2 months for the entire year.  She will make it so easy for us!  Get scrapbooking!  Just $20

Good Morning Everyone!

We're supposed to have a beautiful sunny day today.  We do  need  lots of moisture, but I love these days!  Wow, this year has just flown by.  2013 is coming soon! 

Hope you all received your email about our Customer Appreciation Days from Dec 17-22!  It should be lots of fun....And you get to make a FREE, yes, FREE Christmas tag when you come in to shop here at ARTSY!  More info is later in this blog.

Here's our photos of our December classes, the remainder of 2012:

Starting this coming Sat, 12/1, from 10:30-12:30, we will have Melissa teaching SWEET SUITE CARDS, and you will get to make 2 of these 6 cards, for $10. She will show us how to make a doz or more cards from one of Graphic 45's 8x8 paper pads!  These are so beautiful, aren't they?

And that same afternoon, from 2-4, Julia will present another frameable piece of 3 dimensional art with NUTCRACKER SUITE.  Bring an exacto knife and cutting pad as well as your basic kit.  This class is $12 to newbies and $7 to our 3D returning students:

On Mon, 12/3, Doug will be here to teach MATCHBOOK CARD, which is another quilling card class., from 2-4.  You must bring your quilling tool along with your basic kit.  It's just $5 for this class:

And that same afternoon, from 4:30-6:30, Susan will teach WINE BOTTLE CARDS, and you will make these 3 cards, learning how to draw your own wine bottle.  Just $10 for 3 cards:

TECHNIQUE TUESDAY---Come in anytime from 10-5:30 and learn this week's new technique.
It's just $2, or FREE with a purchase of $5 or more.  Each week it is a different technique, you can do in 2-5 min, and take home your own sample and instructional tag.  Soooo fun!

Wed, 12/5, from 2-4, Doug will return to teach a new card making technique in DOUBLE SLIDER CARD, which also happens to be a beautiful Christmas card.  It's  just $7:

Fri, 12/7, from 6-8, Patsy will hold another SIT N STITCH, from 6-8.  If you have graduated from her Emboridery on Paper class, you can come into any Sit n stitch and learn a new pattern for just $3.

Sat, 12/8, from 10:30-12:30, Deb will teach POINSETTIA CARDS, make these 2 with Tim Holtz's new die, for just $9 and aren't they beautiful?:

12/11, TECHNIQUE TUESDAY

Thurs, 12/13, from 6-8, Deb will teach our last Christmas card class, PEELED POINSETTIA CARDS.  You'll make these 2 beautiful cards  using beautiful gold peel-offs. Make these 2 for $10!

ON SATURDAY, 12/15, ARTSY WILL HOLD AN OPEN HOUSE, from 1-4, SHOWCASING SEVERAL OF OUR CUSTOMERS AND THEIR HAND MADE CREATIONS.  Please bring CASH to purchase these items.

ALSO, YOU MUST BRING YOUR BASIC TOOL KIT with you to each class.  It consists of:
detail scissors, tape runner, liquid adhesive, ruler, pencil, paper piercer, pot dots, stylus, score board, and any other favorite tools.

HELLO EVERYONE, HAPPY FALL TO YOU ALL!

Sounds like our winter weather is starting tomorrow.  We've had such a beautiful fall!

We have ordered Tim Holtz's new Distress Stains in his most recent 12 colors (all so pretty), that were just introduced today, should have them in sometime next week.  Also, our Spectrum Noir alcohol markers have arrived.  These are alcohol markers are very similar to Copics, but are priced very reasonably for crafters.  Lots of colors, sold in sets of 6 for just $11.99.  These markers can also be refilled, just like Copics and the nibs are replaceable, as well.  We have Tim Holtz's new Christmas dies and embossing folders, stamps, too.  New dies from Memory Box and Impression Obsession.  Lots of Christmas papers, and smaller print 6x6 paper pads, as well.  It's such a fun season.  Just love listening to our friends telling us about the Christmas cards they have designed.  Our classes give you lots of new ideas and techniques to create spectacular cards!

Also---- we will be having a special BLACK FRIDAY SALE (the Friday after Thanksgiving), lots of specials and door prizes, too, of course.  Come in and SAVE!

Fri, 11/16, Patsy will teach EMBROIDERY ON PAPER from 4-6, for $12, you will learn how to stitch a beautiful tulip on paper.  Then from 6-8 you can stay and learn another pattern to stitch for just $3:

 

Sat, 11/17, we have Deb teaching 2 classes:  NEVER ENDING CHRISTMAS CARD from 11-1, $5 plus the purchase of a small Christmas paper pad. This card keeps opening and turning, opening and turning with different papers and embellishments everywhere.  So fun to make:

GOOD MORNING  EVERYONE!

What a warm, beautiful day we are expecting.  Not so for the east coast.  Our prayers are with them.

We just received Graphic 45's Place in Time collection!  It is so beautiful!  It is a vintage calendar collection and not to be missed.  Come in and see it for yourself! New colors of glitter papers are just in.  New variety of small paper pads are in.  New paper cutting dies in from Memory Box, Poppy Stamps, etc.  New embossing folders, as well.  We have our Big Shot machines priced $10 cheaper, at $89.99!  Don't buy the cheaper Cuttlebug that is priced at $79.99, Big Shot is larger and is all metal inside and that makes quite a difference and Big Shots will last longer, too!  These are the versatile machines that create die cuts and emboss backgrounds on our papers.  They are so much fun to have.  You can be so much more creative with your projects!  Come in and try our BIG SHOT out, before you buy your own!

ARTSY WILL OPEN 2 HOURS LATER FOR THE NEXT 2 WEEKS (Nov 1- 13)----WE WILL BE OPEN  NOON - 6 ON WEEKDAYS, and the same 10 - 5 ON SATURDAYS.  We will still have our day and night classes as scheduled.  Patsy is on vacation for another couple of weeks, and Dianna needs time to catch up.

Please call 24 hrs ahead so our teachers have time to prepare for each student, including cutting papers, etc.
You must bring your own basic tool kit which should consist of: tape runner, liquid paper glue, detail scissors, ruler, paper piercer, pencil, pop dots,, stylus, any favorite tools, etc.

From 10:30-1:00, Julia will teach another 3D class -- SONGBIRD 3D using Graphic 45 Songbird papers.  You must bring a paper burnishing kit along with your basic tool kit to these 3D classes.  We sell them at ARTSY, of course.  So beautiful:

Then that same afternoon, Julia will also teach her MORE STEAMPUNK CARDS, from 2-4.  And you will make these 3 cards.  They are all dimensional and beautiful.  The smaller one has a fun tag inserted, for just $12:
