HELLO EVERYONE

Finally!  We have snow !  We have lots of snow and lots of moisture.  What a beautiful snow storm yesterday.  We sure appreciate it!

Our first 2 weeks of February:

Fri, 3/1, Deb will help us make several different kinds of envelopes, including a card to match, from 6-8, and again on 3/14, from 4-6, in WAY BEYOND ENVELOPES!. just $15:

Sat, 3/2, Deb will return for G45 SPRING CARDS,  from 10:30-12:30, you'll make these 2 beautiful cards for $8:

That same afternoon, from 2-4, Julia will teach another Graphic 45 3D class.  It's just $12 for beginners, but return students pay just $8.  You must have a paper burnishing kit and pad, along with your basic kit to complete this frameable piece of 3D art:

Sun, 3/3, Patsy will teach BEYOND DISTRESS INK TECHNIQUES, from 1-4.  If you have taken the basic DISTRESS INK TECHNIQUES class, this class is the next step.  Learn and play more with these amazing inks, just $15.

TECHNIQUE TUESDAY,  come in anytime between 10-5 and learn a new technique.  It's just $2 or  FREE with a purchase of $5 or more.  You don't need your basic tool kit for this, just drop in. You'll get to take home your own sample and written instructions, so you won't forget how to do it.

Wed, from 6-8, Julia will teach PERFECT PEARL TECHNIQUES.  You will learn 7 different techniques to add special shimmer to any project using these iridescent powders, just $15:

Thurs, 3/7, from 3-5 and again on 3/15, from 6-8, Sharolyn will help us create these beautiful Easter cards in LIFE SPRING CARDS. Make 4 cards for just $10!:

Fri, 3/8, from 2-4 and again 3/28, from 6-8, Dianna will let us play with encaustic wax in PLAYING WITH WAX. This is an old Fine Arts technique that has just been introduced to the craft world, with smaller tools and special colored waxes, just $12 to try this new art technique:

Sat, 3/9, from 10:30-1, Julia will guide us in creating G45 next 2 months of amazing calendar album pages, in G45 MARCH/APRIL LAYOUTS.  You'll make 2, 2-pg layouts---March and April, just $20:

That same afternoon, from 1:30-4:30, Pat will teach another pocket photo album in FIREFLY ALBUM.  For $20, you will learn how to make this great album to re-create again and again:

Wed, 3/13, from 6-8, Susan will help us make a GIRLY EASEL, just $10.  Susan's husband makes these wooden easels, that you will paint, stamp and embellish, what a great gift:

Thurs, 3/14, from 4-6, another WAY BEYOND ENVELOPES!, with Deb (see above).

Fri, 3/15, from 6-8, another LIFE SPRING CARDS class with Sharolyn, (see above).

All of our classes include the papers and embellishments in the class price.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR BASIC TOOL KIT TO EVERY CLASS, which consists of: detail scissors, tape runner, liquid adhesive, pop dots, scor-tape, tweezers, paper piercer, ruler, pencil, scotch tape, paper distresser, and any favorite tools.  A few classes will specify additional tools to bring for that particular class, as well.  ARTSY has all of these tools for sale, of course.

Come on---take a class, it's fun and you'll meet new friends, as well get pumped with creative ideas for your own projects at home!

Good Morning Everyone,

I know, we're all praying for moisture this weekend!  Rain, rain come again today!  Even lots of snow would be welcome!

We had such a great time last weekend at the inaugural Front Range Scrapbook & Paper Craft Fair at Embassy Suites Hotel!  And it looks like they will continue to hold it here in this area every Feb.  Hopefully it will get bigger and bigger, with lots more vendors.
 I know that card makers are not used to the higher admittance price, like scrapbookers are.  The price included snacks of apples, mints, cookies, trail mix, coffee, tea and water bottles, from 9-6.  We all walked on carpet, and sat in comfortable, upholstered chairs.  It's a beautiful hotel.  And so convenient, parking was right outside the front doors.  Some of us felt pampered.

Elizabeth (Els) from Elizabeth Craft Designs demonstrated her beautiful products and techniques all day for us at our booth!  What exciting products, what exciting designs and projects she accomplished with her many creative products!

If you were lucky to attend and watch her, you  must be very excited about her company, as well!
We will have another couple of classes using her products, Sat, March 23, with Caron, our Elizabeth Craft Designs rep!  Artsy has a huge collection of her products to sell, of course.

We have just received 5 new Bo Bunny collections this past week, new dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs, new Northwoods Stamps collection, new Stampendous stamps and fragment colors, both with beautiful sample boards for spring.  Expecting Memory box dies and Graphic 45's 2 new collections this coming week.....so many new things....too much fun!

VALENTINES DAY, THIS THURSDAY, come in for treats and 15% off any product that is red or pink (not the packaging, the item) and is not already on sale.

TECHNIQUE TUESDAY---THIS IS EVERY TUESDAY, come in and learn a quick new technique to use on any project, large or small.  Just $2 or FREE  with a $5 or more purchase.  Take home instructions and your own sample!  Always fun.

Wed, 2/20 Patsy will hold this month's EMBROIDERY ON PAPER class from 2-4.  Embroider this tulip (pick your own color of threads), and then you're ready to join a SIT N STITCH  class to learn another pattern for just $3:

Thurs, 2/21, Doug will return and teach SECRET WINDOW CARD, from 2-4.  Make this neat card by folding, stamping, then pull the button and the window opens to reveal the secret message, just $5:

That same evening from 6-8, and the next day, Fri, from 2-4, Dianna will teach THINK SPRING CARDS.  You will get to use the Big Shot using 7 different dies and 3 different embossing folders to create these 2 sweet birdhouse cards. If you have not used the Big Shot machine, now is your chance to learn.  Our Big Shot machines will be 20% off  for our students in class, a savings of $18 (Artsy's price is always $10 less than the big box stores, if you can find them), if you want one, let us know ahead of time so we can order more, if need be:

And finally, Thurs night from 6-8, Julia will teach another G45 JAN/FEB layouts class, where you will make 4 pages, 2 pages for Jan and 2 pages for Feb, to get a great start on a Calendar album using Graphic 45 papers and embellishments, aren't these beautiful? Just $20 for all of this:

Julia will be teaching all year long using these Graphic 45 papers for 4 page layouts, watch our calendar for her March and April layout designs.  This is a perfect way to create a beautiful 2013 album using vintage Graphic 45 papers, dies, embellisments, etc.

Good Morning Friends!
What a great weekend we have had! 
We had Julia teach another 3Dimemsional class and Arta teach a large class creating WINTER FAIRIES.  So much fun and lots of laughter during the fairies class:

ARTSY will have a booth at this coming Saturday (Feb 2) at the inaugural FRONT RANGE SCRAPBOOKING AND PAPER CRAFTS FAIR, which is being held at The Embassy Suites Conference Center, on Crossroads Blvd (the hotel at The Ranch). 
And our BIG news is that:  We are featuring Els, owner and designer of Elizabeth Craft Designs. Her company is located in California, so it's quite a treat to have her demonstrating her products for us at this event!  Els will be demoing and selling her new dies, shimmer sheets, microfine glitters, velvet sheets, and special tape sheets at this expo.  It's an all day... 9-6pm... event.  Croppers will have lots of space to work and they along with card makers and stampers will have fun visiting with vendors, watching demos and creating Make N Takes.  We are selling tickets here for $15, which includes snacks and beverages throughout the day.  If you wait until Sat, the admission price will be $20.  We'll have the tickets for sale until Friday at 6pm.  Come in soon to purchase yours.  Please bring a check or cash for these tickets.  LOTS OF FUN FOR ALL! That same afternoon, from 2-4, Judi will teach POP UP CARDS.  How cool to have the Hybiscus just pop from the inside, just $10 to make this card and learn this pop-up technique to apply to lots of different cards and pages:

Mon. 2/4, from 2-4 Dianna will teach WINTER WISHES CARDS.  You will get to make 2 of this card using a new Impression Obsessions stamp and our new SPECTRUM NOIR ALCOHOL MARKERS!  These are new markers made just for crafters.  Lots cheaper than Copic markers and they are packaged in color families, 6 markers for just $11.99 ($2 per pen!).  They also have their own paper, which is especially important when using alcohol markers because of the amount of ink that is absorbed by different papers and the ease of blending, as well. What a beautiful new year so far!  We're having fun at ARTSY, how about you?

The first class is SHIMMERING JEWELRY, from 10:30-12:30.  You'll get to make a large necklace OR a smaller necklace and earring set, using Elizabeth Craft Designs shimmer sheets and also a card using Elizabeth Craft Designs micro fine glitter, peel off stickers and glitter tape.  This class is $1 and is quite a bargain:

 

And her afternoon class is FABULOUS BACKGROUNDS, from 2-4.  You will get to make several card backgrounds using IMPRESSION OBSESSIONS background stamps.  This class is also $18, some of these images are done with 3 stamps.  You will pick your own ink colors and stamps, really fun!:

Wed, 1/23 , from 6-8pm, Donna will return to teach IRIS FOLDING.  In this particular class you will make a beautiful evening dress using ribbon, for just $8.

Thurs, 1/24, from 5:30-7:30, Judi will teach HEART STRINGS.  This is a beautiful card for Valentines day, and a new way of folding and "tying" it together!  Just $8:

Fri, 1/25, Melissa will be here from 4-6 to teach VINTAGE VALENTINES.  You will get to make these 2 cards for $10:

That same day from 6-8, Patsy will hold another SIT N STITCH for $3.  If you have passed the first class, Embroidery on Paper, you can take this class and learn to stitch another pattern!  Too fun!

Sat, 1/26 we will have Julia in the morning from 10-Noon teaching another 3D class LADIES DIARY, for just $12 (or $8 for returning 3D students) you can create this frameable piece of art:

Mon, 1/28, Dianna will teach another TOMBOW MARKER TECHNIQUES class from 6-8.  And for just $10 you'll get to learn 7 different techniques using water based markers:

 

Wed, 1/30, from 2-4 OR 6-8 is Patsy's MONOCHROMATIC CARDS, where you get to make 4 cards for either $10, OR for FREE IF YOU HAVE REGISTERED FOR 3 OTHER CLASSES! And here they are:

And Fri, 1/31, we have Deb coming to teach IT'S RAINING HEARTS card from 4-5:30. For just $5 you will learn to make a special folding and cutting technique with this sweet card:

 

 And finally that same evening from 6-8, Deb will also teach 1/2 of this class and Patsy the other half of DAISY PEEL OFF cards.  Just $ 7 for 2 cards.  They will be using the same daisy peel off sticker, but with different coloring techniques.  Deb will be using Elizabeth Crafts Designs micro-fine glitter and tape, which many of you have been interested in learning, since you missed the first couple of classes on this technique:
