ALCOHOL INKS – LEVEL 1: This
Level 1 class introduces Alcohol Inks to students that are new to the medium or
need a refresher. We will explain the color wheel/ color theory, how to
manipulate and safely apply alcohol inks, and complete a small project on a
variety of surfaces. You will gain an understanding of how this vibrant fluid
ink works, how colors combine, and have a fun time exploring the foundations of
what you and the medium are capable of creating. *This Level 1 class is a
prerequisite for the more advanced Level 2 class scheduled 3 weeks later on
June 22. With Randy & Teresa
Redmond-Ott on Saturday, 6/1 from 12:30-3:30pm. $45, all supplies included.
PLAY DAY AT ARTSY: These
days at Artsy have been a true hit and the feedback has been great! FREE play days in your Happy Place! Can’t get better than that. So, if you’re looking for a place to really
spread out and work on that “UFO” (UnFinished Object) or
if you wanna acquire some new toys at Artsy and then break into them
immediately and be creative, then this time is for you! Do you want to be creative with other
people? Bring a friend and play in the
Artsy Classroom. Work on your own projects or come and create cards that are already planned
out and help with donations to Artsy’s charitable efforts. This is something NEW we’re doing and
we’re very excited! IF you don’t feel
like working on your own projects on Play Days, you can now help us with ours. Each Play Day will now have a THEME associated
to it and Patsy will have supplies out on those days to use in creating cards
with that theme. Make cards in sets of 3
– you’ll keep 1 for yourself and donate 2 to the store. These will be used in the Greeting Card Box
Sets that are sold to raise money for charities that Artsy supports, or they
will be donated to the CSU Group for their fundraising efforts. Play Days
have caught on in the last few months so plan now to come in on one or all four
dates in June from 10am-5pm each day. The store is in Summer Hours mode and now open
until 6pm to allow you time to shop afterwards, but you will need to wrap everything
up by closing time. Bring your basic kit
with you as supplies are not included. Tuesday 6/4 (Americana cards), Thursday 6/13
(Coffee cards), Tuesday 6/18 Vase & Flower cards), or Thursday 6/27
(Sympathy cards), from 10am-5pm each day.
FREE!

CLASS
POLICIES
***Classes
start promptly at the time listed.
Please have your lovely buns in the seat and be ready to go! Showing up late is very disruptive to the
class that is already in progress. Plan
ahead for traffic or other things that might slow you down!
If
you are more than 10 minutes late, you may be asked to get into another
class. If you are more than 15 minutes
late, you will forfeit your class fee.
Classes
must be paid for at the time of registration.
You are not considered registered unless a class is paid for which could
affect your seat in those classes with student limits. You may pay with cash, check or use a credit
card with a $2 handling fee. You may
register over the phone and mail in a check or give us a credit card
number.
We
also assume you're taking a class to enjoy a break for a few hours and learn
some cool stuff without interruptions.
That said, we will now begin each class by asking you to turn off your
cell phones or silence them during class.
This will enhance everyone's learnin' and enjoyment of the class at
hand.
Thank
you in advance for understanding. If you
have problems or questions about these policy updates, please see Patsy.
