ARTSY’S DECEMBER CLASS DESCRIPTIONS (Remember - you receive a 10% Discount on your Entire Regular-Price Purchase on the day of class!!) 

GINGERBREAD HOUSE: Julia has been having a little fun with Tim Holtz’s Gingerbread House dies and just in time for the holidays!  It can be made into an ornament or sit on your mantle.  Bring your basic kit to class.  With Julia on Saturday, 12/2 from 10:30am-1:30pm OR on Wednesday, 12/13 from 2-5pm.  $20

 

G45 3D WINTER WONDERLAND:  This month’s 3D theme is all about the wonders of winter. What fun! Julia is famous for this class and has quite a following.  It’s a stunning technique that you’ll enjoy learning and utilizing for a long time.  Bring your basic kit to class.  With Julia on Saturday, 12/2 from 10:30am-1:30pm OR Tuesday, 12/12 from 2-4:30pm.  $15 (or $10 for repeaters).

CHRISTMAS CARDS:  Looks like Denise has been having some fun with textured backgrounds and vivid inks with these fun Christmas-themed cards. Bring your basic kit to class.  With Denise on Sunday, 12/3 from 12:30-3:30pm.  4/$18

LONDON GUARD IRIS FOLD: This month those that love to Iris fold will be folding a London Guard.  This cute guard is an easy to fold card and can be used as a Christmas soldier or an all occasion card.  Bring your basic kit and single sided scotch tape to class.  With Donna on Tuesday, 12/5 from 1-3pm.  $7

 

ART IMPRESSIONS PLAY TIME: This is the perfect time to practice your watercolor techniques and learn from a master! Bring your Art Impression stamps and play around with Patsy.  Maybe you’ll learn a new trick.  Maybe you’ll just have fun and eat candy!  Bring your basic kit to class.  With Patsy on Thursday, 12/7 from 2-4pm.  FREE

 

PROJECT CROP!!  Need some “me” time to work on your projects (or those hand crafted holiday gift or cards)? Or perhaps a playdate with friends is in order? Plan now and get registered to crop ‘til you drop for this one evening event.  This is open to anyone who wants some fun and focused time to work on their own specific papercrafting project whether it be cards, scrapbooking or mixed media.  It will be like playtime on steroids ‘cuz DINNER is included and you can use many of the items in the Artsy classroom – like the Bigshot, stamps, and other tools.  Ladies, this is a super fun evening no matter what you’re working on.  Laughter is a requirement – peeing your pants because of it is optional!  Please bring your basic kit with you.  With Julia and Patsy on Friday, 12/8 from  5-Midnight.  $15

 

CHRISTMAS POINSETTIA & PINECONE CARD:  This is such a sweet and beautiful card that truly delivers a great surprise with its accordion structure.  Bring your basic kit to class.  With Grace on Saturday, 12/9 from 9-10am OR on Thursday, 12/14 from 9-10am  $10

CHRISTMAS TREATS PHOTO FOLIO: This is the perfect gift for someone special this holiday season!  Check out all the pockets and such for photos or hand-written sentiments.  Bring your basic kit to class.  With Grace on Saturday, 12/9 from 1:30-5pm OR on Thursday, 12/14 from 1:30-5pm   $25 

  

STAMP DR COOKIES, CARDS & COFFEE (and Trunk Show!):  In this focused class, you will learn the tips and tricks in making these simple gift items using the Stamp Doctor’s unique gift box dies. Great easy gifts to give your co-workers, mailman, neighbors or just to have on hand for that unexpected last minute gift. You’ll also make a couple of greeting cards to use with your creations.   Julia will be treating students to coffee and cookies during this class. Now if that’s not enough of an incentive, The Stamp Doctor will be sending us a mini trunk show for all as well as door prizes for a few lucky class attendees! PLAY DAY AT ARTSY!!  Looking for a place to really spread out and work on that “UFO” (UnFinished Object)?  Or, wanna acquire some new toys at Artsy and then break into them immediately and be creative?  Do you want to be creative with other people?  Bring a friend and play in the Artsy Classroom!  Work on your own projects or let Patsy and Julia find fun things for you to do!  Plus, if you need something or run out, you’re already in the perfect space to get more!! It’s starting to catch on so plan now to come in on one or all seven dates in December.  Bring your basic kit with you as supplies are not included.  Monday, 12/4 from 10am-5pm, Saturday 12/16 from 10am-5pm, Monday 12/18 from 10am-5pm, Wednesday 12/20 from 10am-5pm, Thursday 12/21 from 10am-5pm, Wednesday 12/27 from 10am-5pm, and Friday, 12/29 from 10am-5pm - FREE!

 

 

CSU CARD GROUP:  This card making group from CSU has decided to call Artsy home to its monthly gathering.  They are a lovely group that is open to any of Artsy’s customers that wish to join them. They will be meeting at our store on the 2nd Wednesday of every month.  They create handmade cards to sell at various venues throughout the year.  The funds go towards scholarships for non-traditional students.  If you want to create but have enough cards lying around, consider joining this group or donating finished cards to them.  What a great cause!  Wednesday, 12/13 from 10am-1pm.  FREE, but bring your basic kit.

BLOCKS & TAGS – NEW YEAR:  Grace is back with this timely holiday theme – NEW YEAR.  If you’ve never taken this class in the past and want to get the blocks, please alert the store when you register that you’ll need a set of blocks from the instructor.  There is an additional one time cost for those of $15.  Bring your basic kit to class.  With Grace on Thursday 12/14 from 6-8pm.  $15

4^th QUARTER CUSTOMER BIRTHDAY PARTY!!:  Did you have a birthday during the 4^th quarter of the year?  If you did - this party is for YOU!  We are going to celebrate with you on Saturday December 30^th from 1-2:30pm!  Registration in advance is required so simply sign up before December 28^th and leave a deposit of $5.  The day of the party you will get to create 2 cards, enjoy some tasty beverages and Birthday cupcakes, AND receive a $5 gift card to spend in the store that day!  With Cherri on Saturday 12/30 from 1-2:30pm.

SAVE THE DATES!!  A new session of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Scrap Journal

Little Sisters

Calling all new journaling artists with the desire to ARTFULLY EXPRESS YOURSELF! Cherri has added a second session of journaling this winter designed specifically to those wishing to begin their altered art journey. The class is 4 sessions, and downsized to 3 signatures. Students provide their own supplies. Session 1 requires Little Sisters to bring 9 pieces of 6x12” cardstock to sew your 6x6” book. Session 2 includes making backgrounds with Oxide Distress Inks and Tags to complete the “Scrappy Tag Book” set up. 

Sessions 3 and 4 will include design assistance. Join the original Sisters and accept the two “challenges” … (1) start your layout by using an 8x8” wall calendar for your images and (2) share a little something with each of the other Little Sisters to help them along.  For additional details, please check out Cherri’s blog www.angelsandpears.wordpress.com  Please provide your email when registering. CLASS POLICIES

***Classes start promptly at the time listed.  Please have your lovely buns in the seat and be ready to go!    Showing up late is very disruptive to the class that is already in progress.  Plan ahead for traffic or other things that might slow you down! 

If you are more than 10 minutes late, you may be asked to get into another class.  If you are more than 15 minutes late, you will forfeit your class fee. 

Classes must be paid for at the time of registration.  You are not considered registered unless a class is paid for which could affect your seat in those classes with student limits.  You may pay with cash, check or use a credit card with a $2 handling fee.  You may register over the phone and mail in a check or give us a credit card number. 

We also assume you're taking a class to enjoy a break for a few hours and learn some cool stuff without interruptions.  That said, we will now begin each class by asking you to turn off your cell phones or silence them during class.  This will enhance everyone's learnin' and enjoyment of the class at hand.
