ARTSY’S OCTOBER CLASSES!!

3^rd QUARTER CUSTOMER BIRTHDAY PARTY:  Did you have a birthday during the 3nd quarter of the year?  If you did - this party is for YOU!  We are going to celebrate with you on Sunday October 1^st from 1-2:30pm!  Sign up before September 30^th and leave a deposit of $5.  The day of the party you will get to create 2 cards, enjoy some tasty beverages and Birthday cupcakes, AND receive a $5 gift card to spend in the store that day!  With Cherri on Sunday 10/1 from 1-2:30pm. 

 

WITCHING HOUR FLIP-IT ALBUM:  This Vintage Halloween flip-it album features gorgeous paper from PION. No zombies. No cutesy.  Just fabulous Halloween! Bring your basic kit to class.  With Grace on Sunday 10/1 from 10am-4pm.  $49

 

IRIS FOLD NATIVITY:  This little manger scene card is made with Irisierendes Papier. This fabric embossed paper is so fun to work with and gives your finished card an expensive look. This Iris fold project is easy and fun. If you have not made an Iris fold card this is a fun one to start with.  Come join the fun!  Bring your basic kit to class.  With Donna on Wednesday, 10/4 from 1-3pm.  $10

DISTRESSED LANDSCAPE CARDS:  In this class you will work with Distressed Inks to create these beautiful scenic backgrounds.  You will also learn a liquid mask technique.  Bring your basic kit to class.  With Sue on Thursday, 10/5 from 10:15am-12:45pm.  4/$16 (LIMIT of 6 per class).   

 

EMBROIDERY ON PAPER:  If you haven’t tried this cool technique on paper yet, you are missing the boat!  Punch a design, stitch the pattern and create a card.  It’s easier than it looks!  Plus, it’s the perfect little surprise element to add texture to your cards or scrapbook pages.  Bring your basic kit to class.  With Patsy on Friday, 10/6 from 10-Noon.  $12

DEMO DAY #4!:  The previous three Demo Days have been nothing but exciting, incredible, and absolute FUN!  If you haven’t had a chance to enjoy one of them, you’ll want to make this one a MUST!  We’ll have Mechelle in town from The Stamp Doctor who will demo some of the amazing new products she has available and share a few awesome tricks!  Jan Francis will be in the house to demo a journal die by Eileen Hull.  And last but not least, Patsy will be in too with a surprise demos using some of the newest products to hit the store!!  Mark your calendars now for Saturday, 10/7 from 10am-4pm.  FREE!!!!!!

 

HALLOWEEN BANNER:  Spooky?  Maybe.  Fun?  Absolutely!!!  Just in time for your Halloween party or to simply add to your office or home holiday décor.  This banner is filled with color and smiles!  Makes the perfect addition to your space OR gift it as a surprise to someone who loves the holiday.  Bring your basic kit to class.  With Patsy on Sunday, 10/8 from 12:30-2:30pm.  $15

H2O WATER COLOR BIRTHDAY CARDS:  Who doesn’t need birthday cards on hand?  Join Patti in making four birthday cards and having fun with water color background techniques.  We will be using Twinkling H2O’s for the backgrounds and you will love the brilliant color and shimmer these little pots of paint produce!  We will also be using various die cuts and stamps from Casual Friday and Heartfelt Creations. Please bring your basic kit to class and a favorite paint brush, if you have one. With Patti on Sunday, 10/8 from 12:30 to 2:30 pm.  4/$18

 

FALL QUILLING CARD:  Quilling is relaxing! For those who think it is a lot of work and hard….think again.  It’s only paper!  Roll it, twist it, curl it, glue it.  That’s all it is.  Join in to rejuvenate the art of quilling.  Nancy loves old and new quillers!  Bring your basic kit to class along with your quilling tools.  If you don’t have those, sets are available for purchase at the store.  With Nancy on Tuesday, 10/10 from 1-3pm.  $10

CSU CARD GROUP:  This card making group from CSU has decided to call Artsy home to its monthly gathering.  They are a lovely group that is open to any of Artsy’s customers that wish to join them. They will be meeting at our store on the 2nd Wednesday of every month.  They create handmade cards to sell at various venues throughout the year.  The funds go towards scholarships for non-traditional students.  If you want to create but have enough cards lying around, consider joining this group or donating finished cards to them.  What a great cause!  Wednesday, 10/11 from 10am-1pm.  FREE, but bring your basic kit.

ART IMPRESSIONS WATERCOLOR: Have you struggled with watercoloring and just don’t know what to do??  Well, this is the perfect class for you!  With a few simple tips and tricks, Patsy will turn your frustration into pure FUN!!!  To sweeten the deal, a stamp set is INCLUDED!!  Bring your basic kit.  With Patsy on Thursday 10/12 from 10-Noon.   $18

TIM HOLTZ HAUNTED MANOR HOUSE:  We will be building and decorating this spooky little manor house using Tim Holtz's village dwelling dies. Great to decorate your table or mantle. Bring your basic kit to class.  With Julia on Thursday, 10/12 from 12:30-3:30 OR on Saturday, 10/14 from 12:30-3:30pm.  $22

DISTRESS INK TECHNIQUES:  Learn some basic and not so basic things to do with these amazing inks!  Bring your basic kit to class. With Patsy on Friday, from 10-Noon.   $25

 

PROJECT CROP!!  Need some “me” time to work on your projects? Or perhaps a playdate with friends is in order? Plan now and get registered to crop ‘til you drop for this one evening event.  This is open to anyone who wants some fun and focused time to work on their own specific papercrafting project whether it be cards, scrapbooking or mixed media.  It will be like playtime on steroids ‘cuz DINNER is included and you can use many of the items in the Artsy classroom – like the Bigshot, stamps, and other tools.  Ladies, this is a super fun evening no matter what you’re working on.  Laughter is a requirement – peeing your pants because of it is optional!  Please bring your basic kit with you.  With Julia and Patsy on Friday, 10/13 from  5-Midnight.  $15

 

PAPER BAG ALBUM: In this class, you will learn how to create this eye-catching album using this simple paper bag assembly design and a variety of new paper. The best part of this class is that it allows plenty of time for you to embellish it how you want to. It’s a great class to also practice “making it your own”! Bring your basic kit to class.  With Pat on Saturday, 10/14 from 10am-4pm.  $25

HERO ARTS ORNAMENT CARDS:  These adorable and beautiful cards feature different ideas using the Hero Arts infinity die set. Couldn't resist the baby giraffe especially since it has been announced that Dobby the baby giraffe will remain in CO!  Please bring your basic kit to class and a stamp platform if you have one.  If you don’t have one, they are available for purchase at Artsy.  With Caron on Sunday, 10/15 from 12:15 - 3:15pm.  3/$18

VINTAGE ROSE GARDEN KEEPSAKE BOX:  This keepsake box is such a hit that Denise is offering it again!  This lovely paper from Couture Creations is just perfect for the small size box. With Denise on Sunday 10/15 from 12:15-3:30pm.  $20

INTERACTIVE HALLOWEEN CARDS:  In this super fun class you’ll create three Halloween themed cards that shake, slide or spin.  Kinda sounds like a Monster Mash if you ask me!!  Bring your basic kit to class.  With Julia on Tuesday, 10/17 from 10am-Noon.  3/$15

 

DISTRESSED LEAVES CARDS:  Julia did a class like this last fall and it was such a hit she had to repeat it a couple of times!  This year she’s using distress AND oxide inks to create unique leaves to adorn 3 fall cards.  Bring your basic kit to class.  With Julia on 10/17 from 1-3pm.  3/$15

TEA BAG CLUB:  This month we will make two gate fold cards using square tiles to make a Star Fold. This fold is not only an easy fold but by request extra-large tiles.  Yes 3" tiles.  Not 1” tiles, not 1-1/2” tiles – but 3" squares.  We will also make a scrunch flower for the center of our Medallions. Come join the folding! Bring your basic kit to class.  With Donna on Wednesday, 10/18 from 1-3pm.  2/$10

 

VINTAGE ELEGANT LADIES:  You will get to create 4 cards of vintage, romantic, froofie ladies.  Use them for any occasion or keep them for yourself.  They are part of The Stamp Doctor cut-aparts, so when you buy your own sheet, you can make 8 more cards!  Bring your basic kit to class.  With Patsy on Thursday, 10/18 from 10:15am-12:15pm.  $15

DREAMS OF AUTUMN WALLET ALBUM:  Shannon is a new instructor to Artsy and is popping in with a big bang!  This bright and dynamic fall line from BoBunny is the perfect addition to your stash as we learn how to make 'wallets' for the first time with Shannon Townsend.  This interactive wallet is the perfect way to show off your favorite 6x6 paper, while having the ability to add 5 full size photos and up to 5 additional cropped photos. HALLOWEEN 2-FOLD CARDS: This is a 2-hour class to complete both cards you can put on your mantle or desk, and it also folds flat for mailing. You can’t go wrong!  Bring your basic kit to class.  With Grace on Friday, 10/20 from 10am-Noon.  2/$20

HALLOWEEN EXPLOSION BOX:  You will have so much fun making and then showing off your Halloween pictures in this incredibly delightful project!  Bring your basic kit to class.  With Grace on Friday, 10/20 from 10am-Noon.  $22  (LIMIT of 9)

 

IRIS FOLD ORIENTAL TEA CARD: This Iris Fold card was an inspiration from an Artsy $1 a card event.  The branch with the blossoms made me think about Japanese cherry blossoms. Come join us for oriental tea.  Bring your basic kit to class.  With Donna on 10/20 from 1-3pm.  $5

 

B-LINE DESIGNS CHRISTMAS CARDS #1:  Cherri loves product … and this class is no exception.  Four different designs begin with B-Line Design stamps and use Snowflake Paste, embossing power, the new Tonic Stamp Platform, watercolor pencils, Alcohol Inks, Dylusion Paints and Twinkling H2O’s.  Bring your basic tool kits and adhesives.  Stamps used in class will be available for sale in MINI TRUCK SHOW with B-Line Design Holiday stamps. CUTE CRITTERS CARDS:  Enjoy several of the cute little critter dies as you learn how to use them with felt in these adorable cards.  Bring your basic kit to class.  With Denise on Sunday, 10/22 from 12:30-2:30pm.  4/$18 (LIMIT 6)

QUILLED CROSS:  We use varying patterns of quills with groupings to create this beautiful and elegant cross. Come join the fun!!  Bring your basic kit and your quilling tools to class (if you don’t have any, you can purchase them at Artsy).  With Nancy on Tuesday, 10/24 from 1-4pm.  $13

FALL WREATH:  This is a lovely 8” grapevine wreath decorated with distressed leaves and a cute little owl ready for your Thanksgiving décor!  Bring your basic kit to class.  With Julia on Tuesday, 10/24 from 4-6pm.  $20

IRIS FOLD FANCY DRESS CARD: This month we will be designing a beautiful gown with glitter ribbons to make our gate fold card. In fancy dress, you are always encouraged to design your gown to your own liking. Cutout and ribbons kits are a part of the class so come join in the fun of days passed playing with our paper dolls. Please bring single-sided tape and scissors along with your basic kit to class. With Donna on Wednesday, 10/25 from 1-3pm.  $10

LAYERS OF COLOR CLUB – CHRISTMAS CARDS:  The Hero Arts stamp layering set of the month is the beautiful “Partridge in a Pear Tree”! This one looks so intricate, but is actually quite simple to use once you learn a few tricks.  Julia will be teaching you a few during this class and you might even get a few bonus techniques tossed into it as well.   PLUS, the stamp set is yours to keep! BLOCKS & TAGS – WELCOME HOME:  Grace is back with an awesome theme – Welcome Home.  This month’s message….Martha Stewart, eat your heart out!  If you’ve never taken this class in the past and want to get the blocks, please alert the store when you register that you’ll need a set of blocks from the instructor.  There is an additional cost for those of $15.  Bring your basic kit to class.  With Grace on Thursday 10/26 from 6-8pm.  $15

 

NORTHWOODS BRIDGE CARD:  Calling all Northwoods Lovers!  This is a perfect image for so many Fall greeting card occasions.  Bring your basic kit to class.  With Marsha on Friday, 10/27 from 10:30-1:30pm.  $10 (LIMIT OF 6)

G45 3D MASTER DETECTIVE:  This month’s 3D theme is all about detective work. What fun! Julia is famous for this class and has quite a following.  It’s a stunning technique that you’ll enjoy learning and utilizing for a long time.  Bring your basic kit to class.  With Julia on Saturday 10/28 from 10-12:30pm.  $12 (or $8 for repeaters).

 

BEADED EDGE JOURNAL: This is a technique class for a five page journal using 49 & Market paper.  The class includes the paper, chipboard, canvas mounting and beaded trim.  It does not include any embellishments!  However, you can select which of the four lines of 49 & Market paper you would like to use; please make a note on the sign-up sheet when you pay for your class.  Requires UHU glue stick and bone folder as well as your basic kit.  P.S. Students are welcome to take photos of Cherri's finished journal to inspire their completed journal.  With Cherri on Saturday, 10/28 from Noon-4pm.  $30

EASY PEASY HERO ARTS CHRISTMAS CARDS:  This is just like our popular $1 Days but with Hero Arts products!  We wanted to give you an opportunity to stock up on a bunch of easy, quick Christmas cards – all for $1 each.  We’ll have 8 sample cards to choose from with all the “ingredients” ready to go.  It’s a fun no-brainer! Make all you want!  Bring your basic kit to class.  On Sunday, 10/29 from Noon-4pm. $1/card

 

 

 

CLASS POLICIES

***Classes start promptly at the time listed.  Please have your lovely buns in the seat and be ready to go!    Showing up late is very disruptive to the class that is already in progress.  Plan ahead for traffic or other things that might slow you down! 

If you are more than 10 minutes late, you may be asked to get into another class.  If you are more than 15 minutes late, you will forfeit your class fee. 

Classes must be paid for at the time of registration.  You are not considered registered unless a class is paid for which could affect your seat in those classes with student limits.  You may pay with cash, check or use a credit card with a $2 handling fee.  You may register over the phone and mail in a check or give us a credit card number. 

We also assume you're taking a class to enjoy a break for a few hours and learn some cool stuff without interruptions.  That said, we will now begin each class by asking you to turn off your cell phones or silence them during class.  This will enhance everyone's learnin' and enjoyment of the class at hand.
