Say it isn't so! Kids are back to school?? We're talking about FALL???? Well, it may be on the cusp of Fall, but there's still a boatload of FUN happenin' at Artsy this month. We've got a 5 1/2 year birthday party planned for Artsy on the 10th, oh and Patsy's birthday celebration as well that day, there's a Gelli Plate Party happenin' on the 24th - and that's just to name a few!! Check out all the fabulous classes we have on the docket for you, get registered, and grab a buddy for some "me/us" time. Stop in the store to sign up or call us at 970-613-1631. We've made a few updates recently to our class policies but don't worry...they're all good ones designed to enhance the fun class vibes and really ensure all students enjoy that little creative haven time. These updates are listed below as well as on the website and calendar and we hope you'll take a few moments to read them. GENTLEMAN CARD SET: Move over dainty, lacy cards. Here are two manly cards the gentlemen in your life will be impressed to receive. You'll learn how to make a dress shirt card and an origami necktie. With the Hang-in-There carabineer card, you'll learn how to make a bowline knot. The price of this class includes the paper, a carabineer, and a Hang-in-There rubber stamp. TEA BAG CLUB: Our fold of the month is the Petal Fold.
We will be using both a round tile and a square tile as we learn to make two
different petal folds. Our project will

TONIC STUDIO CREATIONS - LANTERN & GIFT BOX: Caron is “in
the house” this month with a new line she represents called Tonic
Studios. It is a fabulous line and she’s super excited! Both projects for this class are made from
the same die. One is a gift box that opens at the top. The other is
a lantern and looks great with a candle (battery run, of course). You’ll
use Shimmer Sheetz and learn lots of possibilities with this die. Bring
your basic kit to class as well as narrow double-sided tape, glue, and a ruler to
help with the folds. With Caron on Saturday, 9/10 from 2-4:30pm. $17
G45 ALICE IN
HALLOWEENLAND 3D: Get a jump on your Halloween décor with this
adorable 3D framed art featuring this new paper collection from G45 with its
own little holiday twist on a childhood favorite. It’s a stunning technique that you’ll enjoy
learning and utilizing for a long time!

LAYERED UP! CARDS: Layered Up! is a technique that will make your cards POP! You will learn how to use the matting rulers to get perfect mats every time! We will also heat emboss and color with nibs. You can do the cards as shown or use the techniques that will be taught in class to design your own look. Bring your basic kit to class along with matting rulers, a cutter and cutting surface if you have any of those. With Sue on Tuesday, 9/13 from 10:30am-12:30pm. 4/$12
CSU CARD GROUP: This card making group from CSU has decided
to call Artsy home to its monthly gathering.
They are a lovely group that is open to any of Artsy’s customers that
wish to join them. They will be meeting at our store on the 2nd Wednesday of
every month. They create handmade cards
to sell at various venues throughout the year.
The funds go towards scholarships for non-traditional students. If you want to create but have enough cards
lying around, consider joining this group or donating finished cards to
them. What a great cause! Wednesday, 9/14 from 10am – 2pm. FREE, but bring your basic kit.
TEENY, TINY CARDS: We're going to stamp beautiful Penny
Black leaves and then spray and spatter them.

JULIET BOXED MINI CARDS: This cute, little box is designed with
chip board for durability, and covered with the lovely Bo Bunny romantic Juliet
card stock. Susan has made these utility (useful) little boxes in a variety of
sizes, but this one is 4"x 4"X 2.5.
It's perfect for sitting pretty in your craft room and can be filled
with sponge pads, paper clips, mini cards, or M&M's...whatever you
want. In this class, you will learn to
make the handy dandy mini box, and also make a few note cards and tags to fill
it up. The paper is so pretty, you have

RUSTY SECRET CARD: What a great ink and distressing-technique class - especially if you're a "vintagy" kinda' gal! You'll take away lots of great ideas that can be used on many of your papercrafting projects! Bring your basic kit to class. With Kathy on Friday, 9/16 from 10:30am to 12:30pm. $7
ENCHANTED HARVEST BOX AND CARDS: If you are as ready for fall and some cooler
weather as we are then join Diane to make a box and 6 cards from the new
beautiful and amazing Bo Bunny "Enchanted Harvest" paper. It is full of fairies and elves and beautiful
flowers - you’ll fall in love! Bring

BELIEVE ALTERED ART JOURNAL: Inspired by the Instructor's
personal "journey with grace", this all day class features altered
art with just about every product, color medium and tool that could possibly be
used. Students will complete the foundation for all six spreads, make the
elements for all pages, and depending upon personal speed finish over half the
journal, with probably an additional hour of assembly required as homework. The
journal will be posted to Cherri's blog so sample pages are available for
reference. Enjoy the company of others sharing scriptures and life experiences,
guaranteed to be a day of joy! The sample has been in the store a while,
so only a couple spaces are left open, please call quickly to reserve your
place. Cherri will contact each student directly with a "bring to class

NORTHWOODS COVERED BRIDGE CARD: The Northwood summer stamp collection is a hit! You’ll learn some awesome tips and tricks to bring this charming covered bridge to life. GELLI PLATE PARTY!: As the title implies, it’s Party Time again! Bring your Gelli Plate and brayer and Julia
will bring everything else, including some party snacks. Everyone is welcome,
even if you haven't gelli-plated before. Julia will help you get started. It is

WICKED CARDS AND BOX: The Halloween spirt has bitten Diane again! This brand new Halloween line from Bo Bunny

THANKSGIVING CARDS: Using a
variety of papers, sentiments, die cuts and embellishments in rich fall colors,
you will create a set of 4 cards and be ready to send them to those you are

CRAZY
DOG CARDS W/ALCOHOL INK MARKERS: We will be using Spectrum Noir alcohol markers along with the
new Tim Holtz "Crazy Dog" stamps to create 2 amazingly fun cards! You’ll
earn some of the ins and outs of using alcohol markers including blending
techniques to color these cards. Bring your alcohol markers if own some, if not
there will be markers to share. Bring your basic kit to class. With Julia on Wednesday, 9/28 from
2-4pm. 2/$12.
FALLING LEAVES
CARDS: Nothing will put you into a fall frenzy like
these cards! We will start with a blank
sheet of cardstock and stamp, ink and spray until our hearts are happy. Then we'll cut up 6 card fronts! Woohoo!!

FILE FOLDER
CARDS: The only thing you will need for
this class is an envelope maker (you can bring your own or purchase one in the
store before class). We will create file
folder cards that will work in A2 sized envelopes or better yet, can be used
for gift card holders! Yaaaaaay! With the holidays coming you can just custom
color or create a fun theme to add pizzazz to your cards. Bring your basic kit to class. With Patsy on Thursday, 9/29 from 6-8pm. 3/$8
SAFARI ADVENTURE BOX & CARDS SET:
Featuring Graphic 45's new "Safari Adventure" paper line, and
Lost Coast Designs "Safari Critters", the box and six cards are
"collage 101". Primary images are highlighed with gloss gel
medium ... distress paints and stains are also used. UHU glue stick,
white tacky glue with fine point tip, skor tape and BLACK pop-up dots are
required. Please bring the following distress ink pads with blending
tool/pads if you have: stormy sky, peeled paint, black soot, antique
linen, scattered straw. Also bring your McGill paper shaper kit (stylist
and pad) and corner rounder punches.

UPDATE TO CLASS POLICIES
***Classes start promptly at the
time listed. Please have your lovely buns in the
seat and be ready to go! Showing
up late is very disruptive to the class that is already in progress. Plan ahead for traffic or other things that
might slow you down!
If you are more than 10 minutes late,
you may be asked to get into another class.
If you are more than 15 minutes late, you will forfeit your class fee.
Classes
must be paid for at the time of registration. You are not considered registered unless a
class is paid for which could affect your seat in those classes with student limits. You may pay with
cash, check or use a credit card with a $2 handling fee. You may register over the phone and mail in a
check or give us a credit card number.
We also assume you're taking a class to enjoy a break for a few hours and learn some cool stuff without interruptions. That said, we will now begin each class by asking you to turn off your cell phones or silence them during class. This will enhance everyone's learnin' and enjoyment of the class at hand.
