September Classes at Artsy!!



It's coming up on Fall and all we can say is "What????"  With just a month of summer left officially, we wanted to cram in as much fun as possible here at Artsy.  So, check out all these fabulous classes and get yourself signed up for a few.  We've got another fun card-making gathering planned for Sunday, September 20th - a Tea Party with real cups and everything coupled with 2 hrs of fabulous card-making!  There are only about 6 seats left at this event so check it out below and call today to get registered!    Enjoy!!

 

TECHNIQUE TUESDAY:  It’s returned for two days this month!!  Stop in any time from 2-5 to learn a something new to do with your cards and take home a sample and/or technique tag with instructions!  Tuesday 9/2 and 9/15

TEENY, TINY CARDS:   We’re going to ink and cut and stamp and create these cute little cards.  Bring your basic kit to class.  With Patsy on Tuesday, 9/2 from 1-3    $7

TAGS (& BLOCKS) FALL OR HALLOWEEN:  Is it seriously that time of year?!?!?  These tags are so incredible you’ll have a hard time deciding which ones to make at class.  The Fall theme offers stunning colors and shapes, while the Halloween tags are just plain FUN!!! DISTRESS INK TECHNIQUES:  These magic pads can create a lot of diverse looks.  Come in and learn at least 7 techniques and take home instruction tags for all 7.  Bring your basic kit to class.   With Patsy on Thursday, 9/4 from 2-4  $30

MONOCHROMATIC CARDS:  This is a fabulous idea and wonderful way to use one shade of any color cardstock for each layer and make it look incredible!  Patsy is a master at this and it’s also a great way to use up some of those little scrap pieces of paper you might have lying around your studio.  Bring your basic kit to class.  With Patsy on Saturday, 9/5 from 1-3   3/$6

IRIS FOLDING FRAME CARDS W/B-LINE DESIGNS:  The frame on these cards provides an introduction to the iris-folding technique using 7-gypsies text-weight paper.  Four cards feature adorable B-Line girlie stamps centered in the iris-fold frame.  REQUIRED: regular tape in dispenser (i.e. not double sided); and Skor or red  tape.  Bring your basic kit to class.  With Cherri on Friday, 9/11 from 6-8pm  4/$15

DOWN ON THE FARM CARDS:  Barnyard fun will take on a whole new twist during this class!  You’ll use some of the newest dies from Elizabeth Craft and learn some cool pop-up techniques!  Bring your basic kit to class.  With Denise on Saturday, 9/12 from 1:00-4:30   4/$18

ART JOURNAL TECHNIQUE WORKSHOP: (part 1 of 2) This workshop provides classroom tutorials for the Dylusions paint techniques.  Using paints and stencils you will create four journal spreads 12x9” on watercolor paper (eight 6x9” pages), plus additional pages for stamping cutouts and tags.  Journaling will continue with use of 18 Dylusions stamp sets (yes Cherri bot more!).  Your designs can include your own personal stamps and lots of room for journaling or adding favorite quotes or photos. Includes padded journal cover (but not cover design). ATTENTION CARD MAKERS … you can make 20+ backgrounds/card fronts!  Bring your basic kit to class.  With Cherri on Sunday, 9/13 from 12-3  $24

PRIMARY ELEMENTS TECHNIQUES:  Beautiful little powders glittering in a pot.  What happens when you open them and start playing?  Come find out!  Bring your basic kit to class.    With Julia on Wednesday, 9/16 from 2-4     $15

NEVER-ENDING CARD (SIMPLE):  Love the original never-ending card that Diane has taught you how to do in the past???  Well, this is a a slightly simplified version that you’ll fall in love with too!  Especially if you love the new G45 Gilded Lily paper!!  With Diane on Thursday, 9/17 from 2-4  $10

 

IN THE LIMELIGHT CARDS:  You’ll simply love this paper and embellishments – so classy!  Beautiful shades of green, burgundy, and ivory white! This class is also the PERFECT introduction for the beginner in papercrafting…think of it as Card-Making 101.  Come learn some basic techniques that are easy to do but look complicated and unique.  Bring your basic kit to class.  With Sue on Friday, 9/18 from 2-4   5/$12

WITCHES CASTLE ALBUM (2 PARTS):  The photos of this incredibly unique album just can’t do it justice!  You’ll create not only the album that looks like a castle house (thus the “Witches Castle”), but a wonderful pedestal base to present it in.  It will be tough to decide if you’ll keep this one for yourself or give it as a gift to your favorite Halloween groupie!  Bring your basic kit to class.  With Grace – Part 1 on Saturday, 9/19 from 9-5 AND on Part 2 on Saturday, 9/26 from 9-5   (must be able to attend both days)  $89

ARTSY TEA PARTY and CARDS:  What could be better than a Sunday afternoon social gathering … tea tasting hosted by Victoria’s Tiny Tea Room.  Scones and chocolate will be served, along with the tea tasting in pretty china cups!  Plus, the Tea Room will bring several of their gift shop items for purchase. Tea tasting from 1-2p followed by card making from 2-4p.  You’ll create 5 gorgeous cards all with a tea theme!  There is a LIMIT of 24 so reserve your spot ASAP!!  Bring your basic kit to the class.  With Cherri on Sunday 9/20 from 1-4pm  5/$18

SHIMMER SHEET TISSUE BOX:  If you’re in love with Elizabeth Craft’s Shimmer Sheets and haven’t taken this class with Caron yet, you’re missing out!  What an incredibly creative and practical way to use these shiny sheets of joy!  You have to come in and see it.  It’s so cool and would make a perfect gift too.  Bring your basic kit to class.  With Caron on Saturday, 9/26 from 10-12:30   $20
