HELLO FRIENDS AND FELLOW CRAFTERS!

Hope you all had a great celebration of our country's Independence Day, July 4th!  We sure did.

Our last blog ended with photos of our classes for July 8-11 (Thurs).  So I will continue from there:

Friday, 7/12 ARTSY WILL SELL NORTHWOODS STAMPS AT 25% off, to make room for new stamps coming soon!!       Come in early for best selection.

That same evening from 6-8 Pat will teach GIRLIE TOOLBOX.  Just look at this fun box.  Can you imagine it on top of your craft table, desk at work, or in the bath holding brushes, combs, give it away to a young lady...  So sweet and so fun to make!, just $25:




Sat, 7/13, Pat will also teach CHRISTMAS ALBUM all day, from 10:15-4:00, with a break for lunch.
It is $60, OR buy the paper pad to use and it's just $45.  This is absolutely beautiful!  You will make the album and all that is in it.  So many pockets, cut outs, ribbons, embellishments.  Come in to see it up close.  It will make a beautiful Christmas gift (fill it with photos or let them fill it themselves) for someone!:


Mon. 7/15, Dianna will teach NORTHWOODS STYLE CARDS from 6-8.  Learn how to use markers to get the watercolored effect that the Northwoods Stamp Co uses on our sample boards.
It' just $10 for 2 cards, OR buy the Chickadee Stamp or the Spellbinders die (that are used on card) and get the class for FREE!:


TECHNIQUE TUESDAY.  Come in anytime between 10-5 and learn a short new technique to use for card making or scrapbooking.  Always fun!  Take home your sample and instructions, just $2 or it's FREE with a purchase of $5 or more.

Wed, 7/17, the ALMOST INSTANT WRAPPING CLASS HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO HEALTH REASONS.  All the  'Almost Instant Classes'  have been cancelled, sorry.

But the evening class with Patsy from 6-8 ISABELLA CARDS class is still on.  Make these 4 beautiful cards with Bo Bunny Isabella paper and other stuff, just beautiful and only $10 for the 4!

Also that evening from 6-8 Julia will teach G45 TAGS, for Jan/Feb/Mar again.  For those of you who missed the first go around of these beautiful Graphic 45 tags, here you are and she will continue with the additional 3 classes left to complete the full year. Quite the collection:


Fri, 7/19, Patsy will hold another fun ALCOHOL INK TECHNIQUES  class from 6-8.  Come learn all about gorgeous bright alcohol inks and what to do with them.  Learn 7 different techniques and ways to use them.  Take home your own bottle of ink as well, just $30.  Wear your old clothes and our apron, this is messy fun, fun, fun!

Sat, 7/20, from 10;30-12:30, Judi will teach TRI-SHUTTER CHRISTMAS CARDS.  You'll learn another way to fold cards.  Make these 2 beautiful cards for just $10:


That same afternoon, from 2-4, Julia will show us how to put together 2-2 page scrapbook layouts for July and Aug, using Graphic 45 paper!  G45 JULY/AUG LAYOUTS, just $20:


Mon, 7/22 from 6-8, Sharolyn will teach POINSETTIA CARDS, and again on Thurs, 7/25 from 3-5.  Make 2 of these wonderful cards for $10:


Thurs, 7/25, from 6-8, Dianna will teach BOHEMIAN CARDS using the new Graphic 45 papers.  Make these 3 beautiful cards for $10, or this class is actually FREE IF YOU HAVE PAID FOR ANOTHER 3 CLASSES THIS MONTH!


Sat, 7/27, Caron, our rep, will return for another fun full day with 2 different classes.  The first will be ELIZABETH CRAFTS GLITTER CARDS, from 10:30-12:30. You'll get to use Elizabeth's new silk glitters, special tapes, peel offs and markers.  Make 2 for $17:


The afternoon class is STAMPENDOUS CARDS, using new Stampendous products, but they are so new, we do not have the samples as yet.  You know Caron- it will be fabulous like everything else she has created for us!  AND you know you need to sign up soon, since her classes fill guickly!
It's from 2-4 and also $17.

Mon, 7/29 from 6-8, Patsy will teach TIGER LILY CARDS.  You will learn how to paint using Tim Holtz's Distress Markers, make 2 for $8:


Wed, 7/31, from 6-8 Julia will teach G45 CHRISTMAS CARDS.  You'll get to make these 3 beautiful cards using Graphic 45 paper, for just $14:


That sums up our creative July!  Our thanks to all these teachers, they have such great ideas!

Please remember to register for any class at least 48 hours ahead of time, so that the instructor has time to prepare class materials for the number of students.

Please remember to bring your own basic tool kit, with your name on each item.  It should have:  detail scissors, tape runner, liquid adhesive, distress tool, paper piercer, ruler, pencil, tweezers, pop dots, stylus, scotch tape, etc.

Please arrive at least 5-10 min early for class, so we can start on time.

    LOVE that toolbox-- love the papers and enamel dots;)

    And those birdies are just too precious! LOVE the glittered feathers:)

    Great idea to just attach the paper to the magnet first. I have to say that there are a couple of reasons why I didn't:

    1. It was really thick in the die cutting machine (I actually had to go buy a brand new Cuttlebug during this project!)

    2. There is a lot of waste with paper and magnets if you attach them together first. If you use the same paper for your entire project-- that might be a good idea. But since I was die cutting different sheets of paper/etc., it was best that I left them separate.
