HELLO EVERYONE!

Our former teacher, Deb Warren is here visiting her family.  She will be visiting our store this coming Sunday, 3/2, fro  1:30-2:30 or later (call if you will be later).  Come on in and visit with her.  It will be so nice to see her and hear what's happening in Portland.

3 new Graphic 45 collections are arriving early this week, hopefully by Tuesday!  They are Good Ol Sport, Botanical Tea and By the Sea.  We can't wait to start using them!  We love G45 paper!!!  We also have Tim Holtz's new small ink pads, stencils, etc.  Lots of our January CHA orders arriving each week.  Too much fun!  Several new Easter dies, papers and embossing folders, too.  Come in early before they are gone!

Sat, 3/1, from 10:30-12:30, Marsha will help us make EASTER CARDS, just $15 for these 3 beautiful cards.  You can get a head start on Easter!:

That same afternoon, from 2-4, Julia will teach G45 3D SWEET SENTIMENTS.  Learn how to make 3 dimensional effects for many different paper projects.  This happens to be a 3D frameable wall hanging, and is so beautiful!  Just $12 for new students, and $8 for returning students.  Must bring a paper burnishing stylus kit and pad in addition to your basic tool kit.  We sell these kits at ARTSY, of course!

Mon, 3/3, fro 1;30-4:00, Grace will teach BOXED MINI ALBUM BLANK.  You will learn how to make the box part of this mini album, and then purchase the paper of your choice to cover and embellish it.  Just $25.  This will be the last class of this design. Grace will have another album design to share with us later on 3/15 (Isabella Flip Album).  We have just one spot left in this class, call today!

That same evening, from 5-7, Marsha will teach CARDS FIT FOR A KING.  Just $10 for these 2 masculine cards:

TECHNIQUE TUESDAY.   Come in every Tues. between 10-4, for a new 2-3 min technique.  Different each week! Take home your own sample and instructions so you can repeat it again.  Lots of fun. Just $2 or it's FREE with a purchase of $5 or more.

Wed, 3/5, from 3-5, Patsy will teach FIND YOUR WINGS.  This is session 4 of these cards. If you want to make all 16 of these cards, you can make these 4 today and then take home supplies and instructions for the other 12 cards.  Just $30 for 16 cards! The cards shown are actually from the last (session 3) of this class:

Thurs, 1-3, OPERATION WRITE HOME. Come in and use our supplies to make cards for our troops.  These are cards that are blank on the inside, so that they can write home to their loved ones.  We also collect these cards from you donations, envelopes, too.  Bring in any extra cards you can spare.  Remember, no glitter, no stickles allowed.

Fri, 3/7, from 5-7, Patsy will teach another TAGS TAGS TAGS.  You'll get to create 10 different tags using stamps, stencils, inks, sprays, etc.  Just $10

Sat, 3/8, from 10-12, Marsha will teach C'EST LA VIE CARDS.  Make these 2 beautiful cards for just $10 using Bo Bunny paper, dies, stickles:

That same afternoon, from 1-4, Pat will teach another great mini album KEY LIME MINI ALBUM,  chock full of pockets and tags for photos and journaling and keeping keepsakes, especially from travel.  So bright and sunny, just $20.  Limit 6 students:

Mon 3/10, from 2-4, Doug will teach MASCULINE BIRTHDAY CARD. You get to make the envelope, as well!  Also learn how to make envelopes with the envelope punch board! This card is for a guy designed by a guy!  Your guy will love it, just $7.

Wed, 3/12, from 1-3, Patsy will teach our monthly ALCOHOL INK TECHNIQUES.  Learn 6 different ways to use these inks.  Just $30 and take home your own bottle of ink.

Thurs, 3/13, 1-3, CSU CARDAKING WORKSHOP.  Come in and use our supplies and help us make cards to donate to the CSU Women's scholarship fund.  Bring your own tool kit.  Free

Fri, 3/14, from 2-4, Patsy will teach BEYOND ALCOHOL INKS.  If you've taken the first technique class, this is an extension of that class.  Lots more new ways to use these inks.  Just $15.

Sat, 3/15, from 10-4, Grace will teach a new flip album ISABELLA FLIP ALBUM. And isn't this just beautiful?,  This one uses very feminine Bo Bunny paper.  You will have a lunch break.  Limit of 6 students for this one.  Just $55 for this amazing album (everything included-just bring your basic kit of course).  Call soon to take this class.

For all of you "CARON groupies", all of you who can't wait for her next classes...you know who you are!  Well......Caron will be here again on Sat. 3/22 for 2 different classes using new Elizabeth Crafts dies, peel offs, shimmer sheets and Impression Obsession stamps.  Here's just one of her classes:

And that's our lineup of the first half of March.  Great classes, great instructors.  Always amazing ideas, and very creative.  Remember this is a great way to meet new people and to get stimulated and enthused about your own creativity. They are jump starters, as well.

PLEASE remember to bring your basic tool kit consisting of detail scissors tape and liquid adhesives, pop dots, ruler, paper piercer, scor tape (especially for albums), pencil, etc.  Some classes will also ask for other tools, but we'll let you know.
Please register for classes at least 48 hours before class time, so that the teacher can cut and prepare for the correct number of students.  We take cash or checks for these classes. And please arrive at least 10 min before class starts, to get settled in to start on time, thanks!

Oh, it's so great to see the sun all day!  We love our sunny warmer days---finally!

We have some great new papers and embellishments from Bo Bunny, Kaiser Craft, and expecting 3 new collections of Graphic 45 paper sometime in the next 2 weeks!  I know you can't wait to see them, neither can I! Lots of new items arriving each week---so much fun.

Wed, 2/26, from 1-3, Dianna will teach SYMPATHY CARDS.  You'll get to make 2 of these beautiful sparkly winter cards ( and you can change the sentiment if you don't want sympathy cards), just $8:

Fri, 2/28, from 4-6 pm we will hold our first ATC SWAP for those of you who have joined our club.  Please bring 8 (9 if you want to keep one) of the same design ATC cards.  This month the subject is "Wings".  WE still have a couple of openings in one group.  Call us to sign up.  You will get lots of ideas from the cards you receive back from your club members!  This is a lot of fun---join us!

That same evening, from 6-8, Patsy will teach CHOCOLATE CARDS using beautiful gold foiled and brown imprinted cardstock.  You'll get to make 3 for just $10, or it's FREE IF YOU HAVE REGISTERED FOR 3 other classes! These are beautiful, sorry the light reflects off the foiled part.

Another great creative month of classes!  Call us at 970 613-1631 to register for a class or more. But please call at least 48 hours before class starts, so that the instructor has time to prepare materials for each student.  All of our classes will include the papers and embellishments shown.

We've had such fun these past couple of weeks with our students and instructors! 

ARTSY FEBRUARY CLASS PHOTOS

WOW, look at all that snow, it's beautiful (until it gets dirty).  Wish I didn't have to drive in it, though.        
                                             
On a sad note:
We have been informed by several of our students and a teacher that at least 2 of our classes by 2 different instructors have been copied and reproduced and then used as classes by teachers of one of our competitors, for their own profit.  This must be a mistake, why would anyone try to profit by stealing from someone else's hard work ( hours of design work, cutting out, etc.)? Yes, well it's disturbing for most of us, isn't it.  I guess you know who you are and so do lots and lots of others, apparently. It really is stealing, when you do it for profit, without gaining permission from the designer, or at least offering to pay for the designs that you will make money on......

PLEASE DO NOT COPY OUR CLASS EXAMPLES FOR YOUR OWN PROFIT, or take a class and then teach it for your own profit, without permission or $$, thank you.

So on a much happier note:  We have received Elizabeth Craft Designs' new dies( she also has new embossing folders coming), Memory Box's new dies and their new stencils, new Impression Obsession dies and stamps, etc.  Lots of new items being delivered from our CHA orders already---too much fun!  Come in and check us out.

I'm sorry that our blog is late this month!  I have had influenza (I had a shot, which made it a shorter duration) and Patsy was in Phoenix for several days.  I had to close the store Mon (snowing) and Tues morning, until Patsy returned from her short vacation.  I apologize but I was not doing well. But I'm back at it, feel great now.

Sat, 2/1, from 10:30-12:30, Julia will teach another beautiful 3D frameable piece of art SWEET SENTIMENTS 3D.  It's $20 and you must bring a paper tooling kit (fat ended styluses which we sell) along with your basic kit, lots of pop dots, cutting matt and craft knife, too.  Julia brings all the stickles, cut fast!

That same afternoon Julia will teach G45 Jan and Feb page layouts, just $20 for 4 scrapbook album pages.  If you missed these months last year, its' the last time you can create them with Julia!

Mon 2/3 we will host OPERATION WRITE HOME form 1-3pm.  It's free, come in to help us create cards for our troops over seas to write home on.  Please bring your basic kit and any cards you would like to donate to our soldiers!  Remember no glitter, no stickles!

TECHNIQUE TUESDAY  Every Tuesday is technique Tuesday.  Come in anytime between 10-4 and learn a quick new technique for $2 0r it's FREE if you spend $5 of more!

Wed, 2/5, Grace will teach another wonderfully designed box in VALENTINE BOX, from 10-4, break for lunch.  If you are a returning student to this box design, it's $45 and you should be here at 12:30-4 and come in and pick up your cut out box pieces to assemble before that day.  NEW students: just look at this beautiful box, it's $55 for you but look at what you get:  Bring lots of scor tape!

Thurs, 2/13, from 6-8, Judi will teach ENCHANTED GARDEN CARD, just $5.  Sorry, I can't show it as yet, don't have sample, but her designs are always beautiful!

Fri, 2/14, from 1-3, we will host CSU CARD MAKING.  Come in and help us create cards for the fund raiser for the CSU Women's Scholarships.  Please bring your basic kit, but we supply the papers, etc.

Sat, 2/15, from 10-4, Grace will teach FRENCH COUNTRY BOX .  Which is the same box album  as the Valentine box, using Graphic 45 papers!  Just $55, again for returning students of this box design, it's just $45, but you must pick up the cut out box and put it together before that day, and you come in at 12:30-4 instead. And that concludes the first 2 weeks of Feb.  Aren't these classes great! Lots of creativity and cheap prices from our instructors!

Please remember to sign up for classes at least 36 hrs ahead of scheduled time, so that the instructor can prepare for the exact number of students.

Please remember to arrive at least 10 min before (or earlier to shop) class starts to get settled in.  It's not nice to hold up class waiting for someone.  Most of our classes will start on time, they have to!

You must bring a basic tool kit to each class (not Technique Tuesday), consisting of detail scissors, tape runner, liquid adhesive, pop dots, ruler, scor tape, paper piercer, craft knife, etc. and bring a score pal or scor-buddy for our album classes.

 Thurs, 1/30 from 5-7 and again Fri, 1/31, from 1-3, Dianna will teach this month's NORTHWOODS STYLE CARDS, make 2 for $10, or it's free with the purchase of this stamp or any other NW stamp of $13 or more.  We will be using Tombow markers as water colors, and a beautiful Impression Obsession stamp.  You get to choose your own rose colors, but here a few samples:

GOOD MORNING TO YOU!
We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.  We were able to wish many of you Merry Christmas in person, during our annual Customer Appreciation week, which was sooo much fun.  Our thanks to all who sent us hand made cards and gifts!  It's always such a treat for Patsy and I! I didn't want it to end, I love everything about Christmas.

But, here we are just a few days from our new year 2014! So, I've gathered our class photos for our first two weeks, we do have 2 new instructors joining our team, Marsha and Grace!
