SAYONARA DOLLS:  What a clever little idea!  It’s the perfect ‘wrapping’ for gifting a Flash Drive with photos, or a little chocolate bar or other little sweet treat!  Just in time for Valentine’s Day!!  Bring your basic kit to class. With Donna on Wednesday, 2/3 from 10:30-12:30.  $6

GERMAN SCRAP CARDS & TAGS: "German Scrap" is a traditional foiled paper cut into various shapes -- such as vintage lace, crowns, wings, keys, hinges, et cetera. It was not self-adhesive and had to be glued on as ephemera. It is also known as Dresden Scrap or Dresden Paper.  It has a Victorian era connection and was used prior to home die cut machines.  Using Prima "Color Bloom" spray mists, we will create the foiled-like paper and then cut into die shapes.  Class includes two cards and two tags.  The tags can be recut and mounted into cards at home if you like.  Also included are four envelopes made using the Envelope Punch Board and quality text-weight paper.  Scotch tacky (white) glue with fine point applicator tip is required and you can purchase these up in the store that day if you don’t have one already.  Students will take home a few extra pieces of German Scrap for future projects.  Bring your basic kit to class.  With Cherri on Thursday, 2/4 from 2-4:30.  4/$14

TAGS (& BLOCKS) VALENTINE’S DAY:  It’s truly a toss-up as to which of these tags you’ll opt to make at class – BOTH focus on love, but with two different tones!  Both – simply beautiful and offer great textures!!  Bring your basic kit to class.  With Grace on Thursday, 2/4 from 6-8    $15

FROSTED CARD PARTY!! (Mother/Daughter/Princess):  Forget those winter blues with this fabulous little party focused on a “Frosted” theme (cuz Frozen was already taken – plus the paper collection we’ll use is called “Frosted”!!).  We’d like to invite mothers and daughters (ages 6 and older) to attend as a team or individually – cuz you’re either a mother or a daughter or both!!!  We’ll make two very special cards that will also teach you a few simple tricks and techniques, plus you’ll learn how to make an awesome Snowman Treat Bag and receive the contents for the snowman too!  You’ll also enjoy special music, Frosted treats, snacks, and beverages included with this party.   “Frozen” costumes are welcome if you or your little princess have one – but regardless, I promise you’ll leave feeling and looking like a Princess!! $1 CARDS ON SUPER BOWL SUNDAY!:  Make your plans now to spend your Super Bowl pre-game afternoon at ARTSY with one of our most favorite things - $1 Cards!  We will have at least 6 new and different designs you can create for only $1 EACH!  Feel free to make as many as you like…but we need to ask you to please call ahead to reserve a time slot (970-613-1631).  In the past, we’ve had 30 people arrive at about the same time for this fun event and we didn’t have enough seating for everyone.  Making a reservation ahead of time will ensure YOU have the most positive and fun experience – and you’ll get to make the cards YOU want!   Bring your basic kit and adhesives with you as only the card supplies will be provided.  On Sunday, 2/7 from  12:30-3pm   $1/card

WATERCOLOR PENCIL DEMO:  The new Prima Watercolor Pencils have beautifully grouped sets of colors.  Come to this demo and learn multiple ways to apply these rich pencil colors to your art.  Time permitting ... Cherri will have ATC size cards stamped so you can dabble with coloring for a few minutes in between demos every half hour.  Samples will be available in the store prior to the demo.  One little pearl of wisdom or trick ... could just make your day!  With Cherri on Saturday, 2/13 from 10:30-12:30.  FREE!

G45 JANUARY BOX ALBUM:  Grace has returned this month with her G45 January Box Album!  This beautiful wintery themed photo album will simply melt your winter blues away.  You’ll learn how to create, assemble, and embellish this album from plain chipboard to 3-dimensional art all in one day!  Bring your basic kit to class.  With Grace on Saturday, 2/13 from 9-4:30.  $49

STEAMPUNK TIMEKEEPER ALBUM:  Denise is back to share her incredible talent in this beautifully designed vintage distressed photo album with a steampunk feel.  Filled with many, many techniques and tricks, you’ll learn how to create, assemble, and embellish this album from start to finish in this 2-PART class!  Bring your basic kit to class.  With Denise on Friday, 2/19 (Part 1) from 6-9 and Saturday, 2/20 (Part 2) from 9-4.    $70

SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING SCRAP JOURNAL MENTORING CLUB:  Group uses participants’ favorite materials and supplies -- your journal can be any size, shape, theme or color you want it to be. Techniques begin with outside covers, followed with inside paper architecture, pretty journal and feature page designs.  Each session will include individual mentoring, design and assembly assistance from Cherri.  Please note:  ‘sisters’ provide all of their own supplies.  Fee payable directly to instructor $21 at first and fourth sessions.  Please see samples at the store and talk to Cherri before signing up for more detailed information; her number is available from Artsy. EASTER BOX CARD:  Who can resist this adorable little bunny and his fuzzy little friends?!?!?  Even if you’ve learned this box card technique in the past, you’ll want to hop on in to join in this Easter Bunny fun!  And yes….you CAN mail it!  With Diane on Friday, 2/26 from 1-3    $10

“ME” TIME – OPEN STUDIO/CLASSROOM FUN!:  You’ve asked so we’re delivering!!!  We’re opening up the classroom to anyone who wants a little ‘me’ time or break from the day to create and play with anything we have in the classroom.  Think of it as kind of like your own little personal demo or practice session.  Want to try using the Big Shot with dies or embossing folders for the first time or get a little more practice in?  Or use a Cutterpillar? Or try out a few stencils, stamps, inks, sprays, etc?  This is your chance.  Please feel free to come by during the designated hours and hang out creating whatever makes you smile! But PLEASE bring your basic kit with you to have on hand though.   Open hours this month are Wednesday, 1/6 anytime between 2-4pm OR Tuesday, 1/26 between 2-4pm.   FREE!

MEMORY KEEPER ALBUM: This is not your ordinary planner!  You’ll be using the new Bo Bunny Calendar Girl Paper, Daily Planner Pages, pocket pages and lots of doodahs, all in one binder with lots of room for journaling and photos. GELLI PLATE PRINTING TAGS:  You’re just gonna have to see these samples in person – and then sign up to learn how to do this!  Julia will teach you this awesome inking technique using a 3” x 5”Gelli Plate – that you get to KEEP!  It’s an easy, fun and highly addictive technique that ANY papercrafter or scrapbooker can use. December Classes & Happenings!!

ARTISTS APRON CLUB:  By popular demand, the Apron Club returns to Artsy – LIMIT TEN.  Plain canvas quality apron with three pockets will be turned into an original “work of art”!  Make one for yourself, a gift or a holiday design.  The morning will include laying down background colors and/or patterns and a sample art practice piece on canvas.  The aprons will be ironed to heat set and left to dry over lunch break.  The afternoon will include designing your own apron style with stencils/paints, stamps/ink and applicator-tipped-acrylic-paint tube for writing and drawing whatever your heart desires.  Includes all supplies.  And, yes, Cherri has added five more sets of Dylusions stamp sets for your designs!  Bring your basic kit to class.  With Cherri on Saturday 11/14 from 10-4.  $40 total ($30 class fee to the store, $10 apron cost payable to instructor on day of class)

CRAZY BIRDS COLOR CRAZE TAGS:  These quirky little guys are grabbing quite the attention of so many folks that we just had to offer you a chance to play with them.  It’s coloring 101 with 3 different techniques so it’s perfect for beginners as well as paper-crafting veterans! Participants will have an opportunity to use chalk, alcohol markers and water color pencils on each bird. 6 tags will be created in class and you will have extra birds to use at home.  Bring your basic kit to class.  With Sue on Tuesday, 11/24 from 2-4.  6/$12
