GOOD MORNING EVERYONE, hope you all relaxed and enjoyed our Memorial Day holiday.

We had so much fun with Judy and Bobbie owners of B&J's Art Stamps last Sat, 5/25, for 2 classes.  Judy is so artistic and is such a fun teacher.  We learned several new techniques. They had great discounts on their unique stamps, inks and embossing powders.  Our students made out well!  They promised us to be back sometime in Oct. for another exciting Sat, and we can't wait!

TUESDAY TECHNIQUES

Wed, 6/12, from 6-8, Judi will teach this rosey FOLDED DRESS CARD class.  Make 2 for $10. Learn this cutting and folding technique to make many more:

Thurs, 6/13, from 2-4, Patsy will teach this month's EMBROIDERY ON PAPER class.  For  $12, learn to embroider on paper in this beginning class , then you can join a SIT N STITCH for $3 and learn many more patterns:

Fri, 6/14, from 6-8, Patsy will teach this month's ALCOHOL INK TECHNIQUES class.  Learn 7 different ways to use Adirondack Alcohol Inks!  This class is so much fun, wear your old clothes and one of our aprons, just $30 for 2 packed hours and take home a bottle of ink, as well:

Sat, 6/15, from 10:30-12:30, Michelle will teach ALCOHOL MARKER CARDS.  Bring your own alcohol markers, (Copics or our Spectrum Noirs-which we sell here at ARTSY), or use Michelle's and learn how to use them by making these 2 great cards, just $15:

That same afternoon, from 1-4:30, Jan will teach DISTRESS INK FOAMIE BINDER.  What a great project to create to store all your 48 distress tool foam pads (1 for each ink color).  You can travel very easily with this beautiful binder and what a great addition to your craft room, or as a gift for that special friend.  You must bring your basic kit and these items for this class: your own brown distress ink pad, and tool with foam pad, scor tape, hot glue gun and refills, and bottle of glossy accents.

Please remember to bring your basic tool kit, which must include: detail scissors, tweezers, liquid adhesive, double stick adhesive (taper runner), pop dots, scor tape, pencil, ruler, paper piercer, and any other favorite tools.  Some classes will require more items (as in the Distress Ink Foam Binder).

Please arrive to class at least 5 min early, so students can get settled in and class can start on time.

That same afternoon, from 2-4, Julia will teach SECRET GARDEN 3D, using Graphic 45 papers, you'll make this frameable piece of 3 dimensional art, just beautiful!  It's $12 for new comers and $8 for returning students of 3D.  You must bring paper burninshing tools and pad along with your basic tool kit. We sell these tools, of course.  Not for people who hate to use scissors:

Thurs, 5/23, from 1-3 come in and do our FREE FOR ALL CARDMAKING.  You'll get to make cards to benefit the CSU WOMEN'S group who make cards to sell at fundraisers to fund scholarships for women attending CSU!  OR make cards for OPERATION WRITE HOME, our soldiers overseas need blank handmade greeting cards to mail home to their loved ones.  Everything is provided by ARTSY, but please bring your tool kit.

That same evening, Dianna will teach CARDS TO DIE FOR.  Make these 3 cards using the same die, and 3 others,  just $10 for all 3.

Fri, 5/24, form 2-4 Patsy will teach this month's DISTRESS INK TECHNIQUES.  Learn 7 different techniques using Tim Holtz's very versatile ink pads, 48 colors!  If you have these inks or have heard about them, this is the class for you!  Just $32:

Saturday 5/25 is a really big day for ARTSY.  We have Judy from B&J's Art Stamps from New Mex. coming in for a trunk show and 2 classes!  We just love having her and her hubby Bobby!  Judy designs her own stamps, Bobby formulates inks and embossing powders--great combination!

Thurs. 5/2, from 1-3 we are hosting a FREE FOR ALL CARDMAKING session to make cards for the CSU Women's group fund raiser and for OPERATION WRITE HOME, for our service men and women.  Come in anytime between 1-3 to use our supplies, but please bring your basic tool kit with you.  Should be fun, your friends will be here!

Friday and Saturday  May 3 & 4: we are celebrating NATIONAL SCRAPBOOKING DAY with a SHOP HOP, which includes these stores:  ARTSY, Scrap-2-It, A Scrappin Place, and Capture, from 10-4 on each day (except for A Scrapppin place will open at noon)   All 4 stores will have a $3 papercraft project for you to make.  Go to all 4 stores, pay and make their project and then sign up.  If you visit and pay at all 4 stores you will be registered to win $60 in gift certificates ($15 at each store)!  You must bring your basic tool kit with scissors, adhesives, pop dots, etc. with you in order to complete the projects.  It will be lots of fun as usual!

PLEASE NOTE---WE ARE INSTITUTING A NEW POLICY STARTING JUNE 1, 2013 :
 If you are late to any class by 10 minutes or more---YOU MIGHT FORFEIT YOUR CLASS FEE AND GO HOME.  We have had several tardy students these last several months.  It is so very frustrating for the other students and the instructor to start her class on time and then have to go back and repeat the first instructions to late comers.  It is not very nice to do this to others and disrupts the class.  We have had several complaints.  Rather than have  our on-time students decide to not take classes because of tardiness of others, we will have to punish the offenders instead.  We will decide at the time of tardiness whether you get to join in or not, if not, then you will forfeit your payment and go home. If it's a complicated project, you will forfeit, take your kit, whatever has been prepared for you and go home. So--- if you have a problem with being late, it would be best if you get into the habit of leaving at least 15 minutes earlier to get to class.  LOTS OF US LIVE SEVERAL MILES FROM THIS STORE, ALLOW YOURSELF ENOUGH TIME+10 MIN MORE TO GET HERE, IN CASE OF ACCIDENTS, DETOURS, CONSTRUCTION, ETC.
 WE THANK YOU FOR GETTING TO CLASS 10 MIN EARLY, TO GET SETTLED IN.

PLEASE  remember to bring your basic tool kit to every class which should include:  tape runner, liquid adhesive, detail scissors, pop dots, score tool, tweezers, paper piercer, pencil, ruler, paper distresser, scotch tape, stylus, scor-tape or red line tape, and any other tools that the class calls for.

Fri, 4/26 from 4-6 Patsy will teach EMBROIDERY ON PAPER where you will learn to stitch this tulip on cardstock, for $12 then that same evening from 6-8, she will teach SIT N STITCH where you will learn how to stitch another pattern for $3.  You must have taken the EMBROIDERY ON PAPER class sometime in the past to be able to come for the Sit N Stitch.

Sat,4/27 we have 2 classes as usual.  First is Patsy's PETROGLYPH CARDS from 10:30-12:30.  You'll get to learn a new technique and make 4 cards for $10:

That same afternoon, from 1-4 Pat will show us how to create this TOOL BOX.  This tool box is a good size-11"x 5" and contains pockets and 2 small photo albums that you will also make.  This is such a great guys gift!  Think about Father's Day, too.  Just $30 for everything:

Mon, 4/29, from 6-8 Dianna will teach another HEARTFELT CARDS, make 4 cards for $10, two of which will be using Flower Soft!
